Yes and that's why I got the 6MT instead of the automatic. Front-wheel drive and a manual transmission can get through just about everything that falls here, which was a LOT this winter. Gotta say thought, that I've never been as freaked out as when a small hailstorm passed by here the other night (no damage, thankfully!)

With the exception of when clearance is an issue, I drive this car in the winter just like every other day of the year. A set of winter tires with sexy hubcaps is the way to go. Surprisingly I manage to fit 2 people with gear going up to the mountain for some powder shredding.

You people in the hot a$$ deserts and Florida etc, I don't think I'd trade away my lovely winters on the mountain for your warm weather... but that's just me

Lol... well that's sitting comfortably with the back seats folded down to make room for a set of skis and a board. I guess I might be able to cram in a 3rd person, and just stack all the gear on one side... but 4 people!!!!????

2 hour drive to Whistler having somebody sitting on my lap... my legs would be dead before I put on my boots!

Well us in SoCal, get nice weather in the winter plus for me it's only like a 1hr trip up to Mammoth for some boarding.

I only went once this year I would go again but the snow is melting

Absolutely drove in the winter to as many ski mountains as possible (until i tore my meniscus anyway )

I'll tell you the secret. Get summer rims/tires, and put BLIZZAKS on your stockers.
