u need to make ur hole by the intake bigger, so more air can be sucked thru, make it the size of the drier hose.

I was trying to figure out what to use to make it bigger. Those marks are from a dremel but that got me no where. The fuse box is in the way so i dont think i could use a grinder. That metal is pretty strong. I need something small. WHat about some type of air tool. Like a small die grinder i think that whats its called.

i guess the hole into my compartment is wide enough to squeeze the tubing into the hole. I didn't need to make it larger.

nope cause it it doesnt have enough "sucking power". Unless you go into a puddle that is as deep as your wheels, then yo're introuble. But that most likely will NOT happen. LOL So you'll be fine. Since it's just like a duct into your intake, it has no real "sucking" power.

driftin8nez. People have done this before to Hondas and other cars to fit their cold air intake. Do a search on google on how to do this. You'll find out how. Like I said, just seach :)

1)regarding the water issue SilviaS14KA24DE is right. There is no real sucktion from the intake so water sould not be an issue.

2) Lazy eye. What is does is let air in from the crack created by the partially opened lights. if you notice in pic 4 i guess(the one from above looking at the intake) I took out the plastic wind guard type thingand weather stripping on hood over the area. Then i folded down part of the box and used the existing holes to hold it down. caution: by doing this it will let water in the crack between the hood and headlight cover. Not much gets in from driving in the rain but get out a rag after going through a car wash.

3) aquiring parts. Just go to the dryer hosing aisle at home depot. The have all types of rectangle funnel type things. I also went with a stiffer self supporting dryer hose so it would stay put. Those zip ties are just there to keep it lined up with the hole.

4) regarding lazy eye. I did it for free. Just pop out the button that controls lights to go up or down with turning them on. Cut the two bottom most wires. I believe one is brown??? Your done. Play with it a little. When the button is active you should be able to turn your lights on and when you turn them off they will stay popped up. now tap the switch a few times stopping the lights were you want them. simple.
