You poor thing, you're getting confused. I did not say that a 245 on a 9.5" wheel would be stretched...

I said that a 245mm tire doesn't really get narrower than 245mm. So, you could put that 245mm wide tire on a 4.25" wide wheel, and you'd STILL have fitment issues, similar to when you put the 10" wheel with an unspecified tire width on the front for that picture.

Spacers are for people who care more about their cars looks that it's handling or safety. I bet you're rocking excessive camber and cheap, one-strut-fits-all coilovers, too.

And quit whining about your lack of funding. Plenty of people have built well sorted cars on a budget. What's your excuse?

i understand what your saying about the 245. although i dont see why you keep trying to tell me it will not fit when i can look out my window and see it on the car with very little camber?

one-strut-fits-all coilovers? is that what people are calling stance coilovers now? the only thing cheep on my suspension are the godspeed rucas? god forbid i dont feel like spending 250+ on something that is going to work just as good as something that was $50?

do i need to explain everything i did to my car to you? i mean hell if your really this interested in it you can come buy it? no? didn't think so, so why are you so concerned about what i do?

not one time have i bitched about not having enough money to do what i want to my car, like i said it gets me from A-B and thats all i really care about right now. your really digging deep to try to find a new thing to call me out on?

On a lighter note, I've seen 255mm wide low-profile tires stuffed onto 7" wide wheels. Hilarious.

The Land Cruiser has 12.5" wide tires on 8" wheels, but that looks normal because, well, they're 33" flotation tires.

?
Your pictures show more than a little camber, brah.

The vast majority of coilovers not actually produced for competition use are built with a universal strut, and then assemble with various mounting options for use on various cars.

This proves problematic because said struts are used with a variety of spring rates and variety of mounts, and individual vehicle dynamics are not accounted for. Should have saved the money you wasted on them.

I'll buy your car for $500, you deliver.

And if you insist on less "digging," that can be accommodated too: Seriously, who tries to stretch tires, and who is surprised when a national tire shop won't accommodate your insane, ridiculous request?

I want you to understand it's ok for you to seek help for childhood sexual abuse. You don't have to keep repressing those memories till they manifest as a desire to run stretched tires.

Truth. It isn't impossible to fit 245's under stock fenders, but it does take alot of work. Personally, I'd go with the 17x9 with 235/40 tires & 17x10 with 255/40 tires. That's my idea of a mild stretch & perfect for most street driven S13's, IMO. But don't let ppl talk you into fitment & things you don't want. You know what you want, so just go for it.

thanks man, yeah i ended up going 255 rear 245 front, and it looks pretty good. need to pull the fenders a pretty good bit in the rear, the front needs a small pull but nothing that cant be done.

9 inch wheel I say 255-285 Run a 275-40-17 on a 9inch wheel... If I could run more without rubbing I'd have a 285 on it. But I am getting a cheap pair of 17x9.75's and I will put a 245 on them... just because I have them laying around and they are only going to be for burning up at nicofest.

Liability. Hell they can even tell you they wont work on your suspension arms because non of them are DOT approved.

:werd:

I fit as much rubber as possible on my wheels. I run 245s on 7.5 inch wide wheels and 255s on 8 inch wide wheels.

This. This is what I THOUGHT that point of upgrading wheels was the point of. I was apparently wrong.

At this point it seems a waste of energy to complain about a chain shop unwilling to accomodate a request that compromises the tire's basic design. But you say your friends have had it done. If it's that important to you to do it, and you're willing to risk tire failure, why not ask them what shop they used? Personally I'd recommend you only buy tires designed to fit your wheels instead of stretching them to fit.

please get over the thought of thinking you run s***. why the hell would you even bring up a subject such as sexual abuse? you know nothing about my life and never will, i could try to explain to you how my sister was raped a number of times when she was 6 but hell i don't think you would care about that would you? might get your jollys off just hearing the story...grow the f*** up, i don't care if your 14 or 40 fact is there's a time and a place to be immature and you picked a bad f*** place.
