Ok.. I decided to with ka-t until summer (then 2jz or Rb26)...so setup is:
*stock motor (compression test 170 psi on all of them) with 93k miles
*550cc DW injectors *walbro 255 *Turbo XS t04e 57trim .63 ar (I know it is cheap Chinese turbo but my friend has one for a year and 12k miles on it with no problems so far)
*cast iron manifold (the fitment is crappy. barely clears brake master cylinder, but I will figure something out)
*JGS wastegate*CXRacing interooler kit * it has CX Racing BOV for now, but it will be changed soon
*e-mance tune, with a support of SAFC2 and it will be DYNOed...
*Z32 MAF
*AEM UEGO
*KYB gr2 + gold ling springs

Gonna run 8-12 psi, I think it will be around 300-320 HP... got also a NAVAN Front bumper, doesn't affect the performance, but I wanted to brag... LOL

Dibs on z32 maf when you upgrade to the 2j haha.

Other than that I guess that's a pretty good setup, aside from the emance tune. Why spend so much when you are going to upgrade so soon anyways?

To keep me busy... and to have some fun between my projects.E-mance is being challenged, or I join people who says that it is crap, or I will say that his not expensive tune does the job

there are a lot rumors about emance. Some people say that their tune is crappy... some people say that it works...I found a thread about their tune, they compared maps and they were the same with JWT... some people say that they use stolen tunes - I DON'T care, it is not my business! if it the same tune as JWT why should I pay $500 for a thing I can pay $170? I'll see and share my own experience. Some people say that Chinese turbos are crap! maybe, but my friend has one for about a year and 12k miles on - he did not have any problems with it.I will have my own opinion soon. So some time later I will join 1 one of the sides...

I don't know, I've heard bad things about emance so I went with someone reputable for $300. I also had an ebay turbo last all of one track day, so I'm not a fan of them either haha.

Either way good luck, I'm waiting to see the results.

Olezhka... is from Russian Oleg?get them from eGay for $100 shipped (EDT motors I believe), but it needs a little grinding on the rear and I'd recommend getting a t4 to t3 flange adaptor (it will bring more clearance for the BMC... (I'm gonna get it too)Chris... yeah, Im hardheaded... WHERE DID YOU GET A REPUTABLE TUNE FOR $300??? I want it too!!! (if emance fails) I heard that to put rb25det into s14 would cost about 5-7k... but I did it for $3200.. There are a lot of "I heard, I was told, my father's grandmother's second cousin's friend had it and it failed" you know what I'm talking about right?

EFI Specialist. A few people on these boards run his tunes with no problems.

As far as the ebay turbo, it's really hit or miss. Some people have run the same turbo for years at a time with nothing going wrong, others have had theirs fail on the first drive.

Olezhka....So, the ex manifold fits OK except for the rear end on the top, you need to grind a little to make it fit under a thing on the head (2mm) and it fits, and to put a nut on the bottom stud near 4th cylinder you will have to put this nut first... the rest is a piece of cake... then to clear the BMC you have to have OR 5spd brake booster OR this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

Then it fits great!!! I'd not recommend the sandwich plate, it leaked and fits awkward.

Chris28:Nice, but I saw $400 + shipping to Europe... becomes $500... If you got for $300 - GREAT DEAL!

Nice to see you have a thread going Roman. I wasn't even aware of this until I happened to click your watched topics while looking for your humor thread.

if you're tune works, great, if not, waste of $170, you'll never see that money again.

I was going to sell my car and posted an ad, but it turned out good... So I keep it... I calculated my spending there that my setup "dirt cheap" is not so cheap...$3250...anyways I made a few short attempts to start my car... so it did, but kinda started working in high rpm and squirting oil all over the place (i forgot to tighten the oil feed line) FIXEDtomorrow i'm gonna tow my car to a muffler shop to make a downpipe, weld bungs for o2 sensors, get a slim battery and try again...

My SR is NOT junky, douche. Either way, I typically learn more in the KA-T forum considering everything isn't just direct replacement and actually requires modification.

WTF!? YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR A QUOTE BEFORE AGREEING TO HAVE THEM DO IT... LAW STATES THEY'RE REQUIRED TO GIVE ONE IF YOU ASK. Is your car drivable now?

yeah... they gave me an estimate for $250.... but it turned out $220 labor,$230 parts (aluminized??? 3'' pipe ($165 for 6ft???, flanges, bolts, flexpipe...)yes, it cranked.. idled on higher RPM (cold??)...AND LEAKED F***EN OIL.... THE OIL FEED LINE I BOUGHT FROM A NICO MEMBER IS f***ED UP!!! HE USED WITH A SOMETHING WHAT HAS A DIFFERENT PITCH... SO THE THREADS ARE FU**ED UP AND IT LEAKS OIL, and this is an only 1 thing... the second is that it leaks oil between fitting and the hose itself... SO I HAD TO ORDER A NEW LINE AND WAIT FOR IT FOR ANOTHER 3-5 days!!!
