Tell you what... We'll go to Jacksonville when my car is finished and we'll see which is truly better. My SR or your BA-T

You guys are ridiculous...

For the oil feed line, go with JGS. They make a line kit specifically for a log manifold + t3/04e.It's like 100$.

Oh, and the KA-T will always make more power with the same turbo setup vs a SR. There is no replacement for displacement.

Oh really? Because we make jokes about each other's cars while at the same time would do anything we could to help the other one work on it? That's cool..

Efficiency is a very good replacement for displacement. If all that mattered was displacement, every drag car would have the biggest motor possible.

The highest HP KA I've seen was around 1000. There's a mazworx SR with around 1400.

We can sit and beat this to death all day if you like, but it's a losing battle for both of us. Neither of us will win. SEVERAL THREADS have already proven this. I chose my SR because I like the simplicity of plug and play. Roman likes to do things DIFFERENTLY and on a budget, so he chose the KA. He even had an RB25 swapped S14 that he did himself with nothing but his own tools.

That is a damn good post

Hot Roding is as old as the car irself, car guys helping other car guys represents a breed of special individuals. The name and label may change but the people always stay the same. The SR vs the KA is like GM vs Ford by any reasonable comparison. But in the end we're all just car guys pursuing our dreams as we see fit.

As long as our goal is boost we can agree to disagree...and have a damn good time doing so.

I got it running yesterday! runs alright, makes some noise (dust cover for driveshaft rubs against the driveshaft), ans some piping hits body...AEM wideband isn't hooked up and SAFC2 too... (gonna work on it right now)and heat wrap with turbo blanket arrived today, so I'm gonna install it too..

FEW QUESTIONS: THE BOV blows some air all the time... but doesn't blow more with increasing RPM, and blows more when it supposed to. (when car idles and I close the BOV with my hand it starts idling badly- drops RPM)...

alright... the car starts and runs...1. AEM WIDEBAND shows that my car idles on 18+ (the downpipe sits in 3 of 5 bolts...) 2. the AFR jumps allover the place from 11 to 18+ when I give it some gas3. the bov blows some air all the time... (sometimes when I plug it - car dies)

Well, you pretty much said everything man, except the wideband was reading 10.0 under boost which is the richest it can read. I still think you have some f***ed up vacuum lines. Your constantly leaking bov might be causing some of these issues as well. Other than that man, it comes down to that emance tune. Hopefully, we can fix some of it with the SAFC...

Well... some updates...1. Plugged all hoses (former EGR etc..) now it idles at 17.5 AFR... too leanwhen I add some gas - afr goes to 12-142. the bov blows some air all the time.. when I plug the BOV - wideband shows 18+ AFR and car dies sometimes.3. Unplugged the MAF... idles at 11 afr..

Change the oil. Clean your plugs, and if any look different take a pic. Fix the exhaust leak and remove your BOV just for now. I had the same problem. I was idling at like 16-17. It turned out my EGR tube was wide open.

Because I am too lazy to look elsewhere... I have the same cast manifold but it won't clear the BMC with the turbo. Did you remedy this problem?

1. you have to get a MANUAL brake booster (it is I believe 2'' thinner)2. I had to grind the turbo outlet flange near BMC 1/2 of its thickness to clear the bolt these 2 steps will give you 1/4'' between BMC and turbo/turbo outlet right to fit a heat shield or turbo blanket...

Sorry I missed your call yesterday, Roman. My sinuses are all screwed up and I have a constant migraine. I'm hoping it's just allergies and will clear up. As soon as I feel better, I'll give you a call so we can bolt my motor together.

Alright I eliminated most of possible problems... still waiting for BOV (greddy RS)... hope it solves the problem, because CXracing one was getting stuck... and probably was leaking vacuum...

Well... the bov and adjustments made (tighten the bov, so it is now blowing air at boost) made AFR MUCH BETTER under boost 13.4-14.7 moving slightly touching accelerator and 12.7-13.4 WOT.when leave the accelerator the BOV discharges air (it is not recirculated yet) lean - then rich-normal (is it normal?)BUT it still idles at 18+ AFR, I guess I need to adjust it with SAFC2 (adding some fuel) BUT THE CAR F**KING FLIES!!! ALREADY SMOKED 07 MUSTANG GT

Can a bad gas cause a rich condition... everything was great until I went for a ride tonight and found that my gas level is low, so I stopped at a gas station (ghetto style, not SHELL OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT) so I cranked the car and it started running pretty lean (15.0 - 15.4) on slight touches of accelerator and run F**CKING RICH on WOT (10.8) ????

Maybe some water in the gas? Going lean when the water goes through, and then rich when it gets the gas back trying to fix it? I'm not sure how much the ecu will adjust fuel...

and the answer is YES, probably it was bad fuel... went to refuel at BP and it solved the problem immediately
