Hey, I know there's got to be some info on this out there, but my searches come up with nothing. I'm thinking about running a direct ignition setup on my KA24DE(soon to be -T) and I can only come up with a few options. A)Nissan/Infinity branded stock coil-on-plug setup B)Splitfire SR20DET setup C)Okada Projects set up. My question is this, Has anyone done this on a KA? I can't find dimensions on any of the Okada coils, but I'm guessing the S15 would probably fit better than the rest. Are the lengths of the SR and the KA the same, or at least close enough to seal out water from the plugs? If they are, even if they stick out the top a little too much, I know I can fab up some spacers, I'm worried about a proper seal or them being too short to reach to the plugs. I'd just try it but the Splitfires are ~$400 and the Okadas' more like ~$800, so I'd rather know ahead of time, you know? Thanks.

If you are planing on running individual coils Im guessing you are going to be using standalone. Corvette coil packs do not sit on the plug, and they are compatible with many standalones, you can mount them away from the really hot cylinder head and just use cut to length plug wires. I have seen it done on KA-Ts before.
