I have two harnesses here at the house and both cars I removed them from the ignitor wiring was separate from the harness. These are both from European 200sx. I was under the impression that they were all the same, but all the harness pics I see up here have the ignitor plugs in the harness whereas these have none. The ignitor is present in all cars and has wiring but this is not provided in the harness itself. How would I wire the ignitor in without having to rip this whole harness out of the whole car? Thanks for any help.

Okay here is a pic of where the German ignitor harness runs. Is there anywhere to hardwire the ignitor in? I guess this change occured when the body did. The wiring actually runs into where the large main body harness is (for all the lights and such). Can anybody help with this??

Sorry about the red outline but I am not good with photoshop.

Did you ever figure this out? I want to put a euro harness with my japanese ca18det. I would have to wire the ignition my self?

Yes you would have to wire the ignitor in yourself. I didn't get much feedback on this, however there was another thread in the CA forum where a guy posted how it needed to be done. So a little more searching should score you the thread. It will work though.

I have both harnesses and both versions of the ca18, uk 4 port and japanese 8 port.Euro loom plugs into the same ignitor, same way. I don't understand why it'd be any different ? Perhaps rhd vs lhd ? DunnoObviously no butterfly valves in the 4 port, but there is a vacuum diagram somehwere on this forum for that.Early uk loom/ecu have no O2 sensor. Mine doesn't, the downpipe elbow is blank.

As stated in another thread there were two version of the CA harness here in Europe. 89-90 the ignitor was already wired into the harness. The 91-94 harness had it separate. I don't know why it was this way but I found out the hard way after I sold one and didn't realize that the ignitor plugs were missing. Plus here in Germany all CA 200sx's were LHD not RHD. The change could have been due to the fact that in most of the countries the Ca was discontinued however here at least in Germany in continued on up until 94. This was also the only available motor in Germany so if the motor changed in the other countries maybe the harness was modified to keep the CA motor in the 91-94 body. Again I only have experience with the CA harnesses here in germany but I have sold 4 harnesses and three were without ignitor plugs

In Europe the CA18DET was in the S13 200sx until 1994, this is true in South America as they use Europe models. Some people dont realize the CA18DET gold mine in South America that is just waiting to be tapped.

Yeah I have the same thing over here. The problem here in Germany is that the CA is such an expensive piece of equipment to fix. We are talking a head rebuild will run you about 1600 dollars and full motor rebuild will run you about 3500 dollars. So when something major needs to be done the whole car gets scrapped. I purchased my whole car with new tires and rims, lowering springs, and new AGX rear springs for 470 euros. It even had an extra turbo sitting in the trunk. Luckily as long as I work for the military I still have access to stateside parts once that goes I will have to park the 200sx in the garage and wait for parts to show up on EGAY Germany .

I found the old thread and this shows how they wired it.
