is there any difference in the Z32 non turbo MAF, and the VG30DETT Z32 MAF?

if they are different...would a non turbo one still be a decent upgrade from standard CA18DET MAF?

cheersDan

do a search on http://www.twinturbo.net for MAF techinical section and see what you get though be ready to spend some time to sift thru the pleathera of information.I think they are the same (i owned a Z32 TT) and the MAF is located right behind the intake which is the same between the NA and the TT. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure there is no difference. Regardless it would be a tremendous upgrade from stock.

yeah...main thing I'm worried about is the range of the MAF...I have already set up a bin file for the Z32 MAF from other peoples figures....but need to know if they are any different in that sense?cheersI'll take a look through those pages :)

RWHP*

thats nice to know, as i will need to be getting one this weekend and i know a place with a sea of z32 parts but not many of the twin turbo variety.

the stock CA mafs is a piece, dont expect to make any kind of decent power using it.

yeah I've heard 500 (fly) is possible, infact I know it is LOL.

Some people run the std AFM at 300-350 (fly) but it's not metering the air properly at that I don't think, more a matter of ECU map guesswork using throttle position and revs.

Well, RWHP on a Z32 anyway... normally after that you have to do with a Twin Filter setup... and even if you 't use two MAFs, you do you two seperate air filters... The ECU then just doubles what the MAF reads if you use one, or adds the signals together if you use two.

jezz, i cant imagine using a stock afm at that kind of power! that must be some incredible guesswork!

that dude = stupid. With that kinda power, I wouldn't even be messing with MAFS's at all.

Make CERTAIN you get the one that the part number ends in N62. There are several MAF's that look the same and junkyards cant always tell the difference. The part number is printed on a small sticker on the side of the sensor electronics body. N62 = the key.

I can't see why this guy is stupid :rolleyes In fact he seems very smart to me if he managed to get 400+ bhp to bend the rod with the factory MAF :rolleyes I wish I was so "stupid"

I intend to use Z32 MAF to it's limit, hopefully to around 500-550bhp.

I got mine out of a J30, it has the VG30DE which is the same as the N/A Z32. Those are a bit more abundant in the junkyards than Z's. $50 for mine with the harness.

I've a pretty good price... going rate is $50-$75 at local yards in my opinion. On ebay they go as high as $175 for some dumb reason...

I foolishly paid 150 for mine :( chalk it up to an overpriced junkyard and an underknowledged person...it wont happen again ;) Like I said though, make CERTAIN its the N62 one, they look identical but arent inside.

Going rate in the UK now is ~$200 (£120). :(

Used to be about $85 (£50) before the Z32 conversion became popular.

It's by far the best MAFS WRT the amount of air flow it can meter.

Hey tim is there any chance you could grab me a maf as well if you find an extra one, and I will send you the money for it and shipping?

They're next to impossible to find here. And for some reason, all the junkyards here pull all the motors and sell that stuff with the motor. I haven't found one Z32 or J30 in a junkyard yet...

Do you know the differences between the xxx N60 and xxx N62 MAFs?

Sorry to interrupt, but how much HP does everyone think the KA-E MAF will support?
