Much as I'd love to go, I'm not gonna be able to swing the 19th. :( Won't have the extra money for gas/hotel, and with the way I'm having to get the title to my Probe to finish selling it, I may not have my S14 quite by then and would prefer not to put an additional few hundred miles on a car I've got sold.

Future KY/TN meets though I will definitely look into attending.

Well i offered the dealership 5000 in cash and they said they would take it. But i forgot to say 5000 cash out the door. So now i gotta call back tomarrow morning and ask 5000 out the door. If he says yes then i will be getting the car on friday unless there is something wrong with it.

I don't know about that. But if he says he wont take 5000 out the door then i don't know if i can get it becuase my dad doesn't want me to get a 240sx for some unknown reason. So he said he wouldn't loan me any extra cash. Maybe i could finance the dealer fees and stuff but since i'm only 19 with no credit i don't know how well that would work out. But i'll let you know tomarrow.

Damn, well i guess i won't be getting that car. I called this morning and talked to the guy again and he now said he wouldn't do it for 5000 cash. Then he put the owner on the phone when i asked him why he told me 5000 the day before and the owner said he would only take the asking 6995. Oh well guess i gotta keep searching again. I found some others around 5500 or so but they all have a lot of miles on them like around, 120,000 or so. Since i'm planning on doing the swap in about 1 1/2 years or so, would that be okay? But untill then i would like to do a few mods to it like exaust, intake, and maybe headers. How many miles can the stock engine handle reliably without having to fix it all the time?

But what other things does it have that the base doesn't. Does it have a better suspension or something. And if so does it make a huge difference?

Well, most of the replies you got are a wealth of mis-information. The 95-96 base model DID come with every "OPTION" that the SE had. IN other words... anything you COULD have ordered as an "OPTION" for an SE, you could have on the base.

The things that ONLY came on the SE are not options.... they are standard equipment: white gauges, 5-lug alloys, rear sway bar, front lip spoiler.

The rest are all options, available for both models: A/C, power windowns, power locks, power moon/sun roof, clarion 6 speaker cd stereo, VLSD, ABS..... etc, etc

For example.... my 95 base has power everything, ABS, VLSD, clarion stereo, A/C...... basically it's totally loaded with all of the options... but not an SE because it lacks the rear sway bar, alloy rims, front lip spoiler and white gauges. Those are the ONLY things that seperate them.

Thanks Skileptic for helping me look. I found a few but they are always sold by time i call. I'm trying to decide on getting the 240sx, a 90-95 talon tsi awd, or getting another mustang gt 5.0. But i rather get the 240sx becuase not to many people have them. Yes it will take a while to get it to be as fast as the other to could be really easily but when i do i will feel so much better. I also think the 240sx looks better then the other 2.

I'd like to disagree with the specs on the base model....mine has everything the SE has except the 5 lug wheels and the front/rear spoiler---LSD, ABS, 15" Alloys, Full power sunroof, power windows, power mirrors, 6 speaker 160 watt stereo system and in dash cd player, etc...and it came with a spoiler off of an SE to match...so yes, you could get a base 240 with everything that the SE has except for the rims, the lug design, and front/rear spoiler...

I live in NC, charlotte to be specific. You gotta understand Blue book for a dealer around here is over 8k, for my car it was. But people usually don't pay that much for them, i consider 5100 a steal considering it was like 24-25k new.
