Notice my comments were only trollish in nature, and in case you didnt catch that, yes I trolled this one. Anything further is just playing to the already out of control "pansyism". Stop being so thin skinned, stop being so touchy. And if your not the one party to the insult, stop feigning outrage. Doing so only gives some sanction to the idiot who uttered it. Should people act that way, speak that way, hell no! But the truth is, its effective, because we make it effective, we sanction it by responding to it.

At least Tariq has the decency to continue a conversation after he posts an inflammatory thread. Howie on the other hand.. he starts a BS thread with some garbage link intended purely to rag on the right wing and then he exits stage right and isn't hear again until he starts the next BS thread full of troll material. I'm going to start watching his threads.. if he gets at least one response and then chooses to ignore it for more than a day.. I'm going to consider it "trolling" and remove the entire thread.

...then he'll accuse us of "censorship", and attack your credibility and your integrity.

(Which, incidentally, he STILL hasn't had the balls to apologize for.)

I couldn't care less if he attacks my credibility and integrity. The value I place on his opinion of me is an absolute zero. because... he's a troll.

As for censorship.. I'll enforce it both ways.. I'll censor everybody. If anyone posts a comment or link that is obviously intended to be inflammatory toward "the other side" and then they don't have the balls to carry on a conversation about it.. It gets deleted.

That is.. assuming I actually read the thread.. which lately I have had very little time to do.

You're not poking anything. You know I referred specifically to those two as racists in my response to you in the Arizona birther bill thread. I said here the Republicans have a problem. In this area it seems to be problems with people officially selected to local Republican committees that keep committing these offenses. I never stated the Democrats didn't have a problem, too.

Oh, and while you're at it, how about your continued condemnation of anything California? Except for our money? So anectdotally it's fine for you to extrapolate instances on an entire state but it's not ok for people who actually live here to do the same about the Republican Party here? We have many million more people than AZ. Simple math should tell you that we are going to have more nuts than you. We also have millions more good, hard working people trying to take care of their families while helping others, too.

i stand by my position. this has not changed me one iota. i still think the damning thing about both the GOP and the Tea Party is that their OFFICIALS are making these sort of remarks. its not like some random member, no, its the very people who are responsible for toting the party line. if the officials are not representing the position of the party, then they need to be replaced by people who do. yet time and time again, stuff like this comes to light and NOTHING COMES OF IT. what does that mean? they didn't run counter to the position of the party.

and im sorry if the truth is inflammatory. this isnt feigned outrage. this is real outrage. i am actually offended that a large population of this country have the gaul to sit and spout their hate filled rhetoric while also claiming to be the only TRUE PATRIOTS. i am not leaving america. america is leaving me.

Let's ask for some common sense from everybody and stop making flippant remarks (me included) that have no bearing and are simply not adding to the discussion in a meaningful way at all.

I am going to start behaving myself too and also start deleting and editing posts that are heading in the wrong direction (yes, in my opinion - deal with it).

Enough is enough!

edit as you see fit.
Only if it is warranted and merited.

How large a population of the country do you believe is doing this?

Sure there are idiots who are doing so, and sure they will continue - you can't cure stupidity - but it is another thing entirely to assume the worst of everybody.

Sure, you can't cure stupid, but the Republicans keep putting these people in positions of authority on local voter committees and the like. Is it really a poor screening and selection process or is it a pervasive "behind the scenes" sentiment that they overlook? Then it rears its ugly head from time to time because they just can't stifle themselves.

As for these shenanigans that keep coming out, I hear this stuff quite often here in Southern CA. You may not see as much of it where you're at because you are halfway across the state, over 400 miles away. Orange County, traditionally staunchly Republican, has always had a reputation around here for being both ultraconservative and racist. As The Economist pointed out, conservative political talents that happen to be Latino or Asian are signing on as Democrats because they see it. The Republicans still don't.

I'm not defending the idiocy, but SOMEONE is voting them into office.

Or perhaps the press is more vocal about pointing out right-wing nuts than lefty nuts? I honestly don't know.

Quote honestly, I think todays media just seeks to get anyone's boxers in a bunch that they can. It just so happens the left usually are easier to get going, so right wing atrocities dominate the news cycle. If right wing folks carried hankies they'd probably spot light more left goons.
