I can only imagine if the springs for the coupe and sedan are identical then the coilovers should be the same. Especially considering if these should work on both 2.5 and the 3.5.

They are doing both coilovers and spring, but won't come out until early next year. Also another company is coming out with coilovers as well. Obviously it won't be as cheap as DDM tuning though.

Come on people, we can't get this started without some interest!

I recall that a bunch of people wanted coils... Where are you all?

What ive found is that they are mainly bmw guys, in cali ofcourse... And they have been online in forums since 01... JIM from ddm is a bmw nut, and has pretty much made it clear that pricing is their strong point...

They have a sense of humor!http://www.ddmtuning.com/pror30ledcos.html

once i get all the names on the list and discuss it with my guy at ddm ill send you an email to setup the groupbuy. but i think its best i get all the items sorted out with my guy before we involve someone else from there aswell as it will only complicate things.

LBC, just let brandon deal with it for now. Yes group buys need to be verified by moderators but this isn't a group buy yet. I am sure when brandon has all the details worked out he will contact you and then make what ever extra contacts you want. I am not telling you what to do so please don't take it the wrong way. I am asking you to please let him handle it for now.

I've been speaking with Brandon about these since day one. He had my permission and backing from the get go. He was allowed to do his thing until he talked to me about the group buy. We actually covered all this by email weeks ago. I understand you want to be involved, but just to the record, I've been directly involved with this from the beginning

I purchased D2 Coilovers for my car 32 way adjustable pillowball upper etc. I promise you will all love them depending on the spring rate and how much the ride quality suffers. Also as soon as you put coilovers on your going to need a full alignment front and rear. After mine were installed my camber was terrible even with the adjustments in the front and my toe was so bad it wouldnt even read on the machine lol. I tore up pretty new tires in about a week. You will probably need rear camber adjusters as well because usually there is not much the shop can do to adjust the back without those. Front camber they should be able to get in your specs but its also alot more precise with front camber adjusters. Its nice they come with the caster adjustment that will be very helpfull also keeping your car in a straight line w/o holding the wheel. Trust me though coilovers are worth the investment just make sure you get them aligned after about 100 miles so everything can settle!

ok guys honestly this thread isnt going to happen to many peole got involved and kind of fudge up the numbers, ive basically been called a hack by a few members on here according to some complaints recieved by members. i recieved this email today from blake so after my projector orders are done i wont be doing anymore orders. sorry about this guys and hope you understand

Brandon,

I have few concerns. I called DDM Tuning and talked to there R&D and Sales Reps. They have never heard of you, or this supposed Altima Coupe coil over system you have set up. This raises eyebrows in my book, and puts you on a thin line considering I have had calls from members complaining of your headlights not being the quality you advertised.

From what I directly know about you, you're a good guy. I have only heard those few negative comments by phone, which I'm positive you will take care of. However, now is one of those times where you need to be very clear about what you say. I expect a response within the next 24 hours, or I am removing the Coilover thread on principle. Thanks.

No one got involved to the point where they fudged up numbers dude. Did you honestly think I was gonna let you start a group buy for a company I have never heard of without consulting them first? No, I called these people and they have never heard of you, your company, or that they were supposed to be involved in an Altima Coupe coilover production. I honestly just sent you an email to find out what it was all about, and you lash back with this?

All I've got to say is...

because twice you guys have chimmed in saying to call and i said not to worry along with other members. if they havnt heard or me why am i on the phone talking to them about one of my orders and the coilsetup? i deal with one person there and he isnt going to go tell everyone at the office that hes doing a potential coilover setup when all he told me to do was go get the interest and find 10-15 people then we can make it official. you should have asked me before you went and called them and then none of this would have happened. and to be honest your email wasnt to easy going there, considering the projectors i have given out only 3 people have them and one is local and the 2 others are waiting for there orders to come still so i dont know where you get your sources from that ive done bad work when the people dont even have them yet?

This thread is about coilovers... lets leave the headlights out of it and stay on topic...

Brandon, why is your "guy" such a secret? I never heard of someone who was selling something but didnt want to be known for it. Share his name in confidence via email with blake or myself and we can work this out very easily.

Is there a reason he needs to be a "secret"? if so, share.

Leif at ddm is looking after everything for me and nothing is official hence why this was an interest thread to get 10-15 people before we submitted a gb to you guys

brandon man, next time just to be sure about doing groupbuys or whatever, us altima coupe owners love them but there are rules on the forum (that I don't remember very well lol) so please warn blake, brian, or tyler about it so they can give you the ok for it.

You have no reason to be angry or violent towards this situation. You broke the rules SEVERAL times, and we gave you passes on them. Now you want to act like a baby and bail out on future modifications. Fine, have it your way.

I tell you what though, I have been involved in probably half of the items produced for the Altima Coupe, and I have never seen anything this shady before. If there was something in the mix for coil overs, someone else over there besides your "one guy" would be involved. Companies don't design, r&d, price, produce, and sell products because one guy who knows a guy in Canada, says so. Coilovers are a big deal buddy, if that company were gonna produce anything, someone else besides you broom closet contact would know about it. Save the sob stories bro, you are the one who made this public.

Perfect!

Brandon, i know from other areas, Leif is def a guy at DDM and id be more than willing to contact him if you like (or blake if you prefer).

I would like to hear it from the horses mouth before this goes farther though, Id love for everyone to be rocking the coilovers, and we all understand that some people may not be informed within DDM. (just yesterday i didnt know that blake was involved in this, I was uninformed!)

I highly doubt things are "fudged" or spoiled by any means! If DDM has any interest in providing the parts, we all know theres interest in obtaining them!Money for them, parts for us!

From what ive read elsewhere, DDM is the spoon that stirs the pot(my type of guys!) in some cases, and those type of guys dont get shook up because of a phone call, or even a dozen phone calls! Contact=Interest!

No one is saying you did anything wrong Brandon, some of the veterans here (mendi included!) know we have been peppering manufacturers REGULARLY to get them to work on the AC.

We ALL value your initiative with DDM, and without your previous business with them, maybe they wouldnt have interest in the AC.

Lets just keep the interest up guys, because if DDM doesnt want to make them, im sure this thread would go over well at Tein HQ as a kick in the pants to get into the game!

GUYS PLEASE REMEMBER, this is all about the COMMUNITY and protecting your interests while providing quality parts, i dont even have the $ for the coilovers lol!

what sob storie? you make it seem like i was trying to scam people out of money, when infact everyone knows this was just an interest thread. Leif is in a meeting and there closing in 20 minutes. i just spoke with gerard and leif is going to get back to me in the morning and ill let him know that one of you can talk to him since im supposedly being shady when infact ive given you all the information i have at the moment. he told me to let him know when i had the 10 people needed for a minimum amount and the fact is i could have told you guys 8-900 for the set but i was doing this at the cost i was given, wasnt trying to make money off it or anything so i appreciate the emails ive been recieving from you blake and the little sob comment.
