damn, sorry to see and hear about the latest news on the car. Hope your in good health after all that.

On to the other note about the work not being done and trying to get partial money back; You will not have much of a case + ground to stand on if the quote for the work was not written up as a "itemized" quote/contract. In which if they did not do "item" (6) being install water pump - $100. You can easily battle that not being done for $100 refund. Simplistic version but you get the idea.

Hope that helps. Good luck with all

Ok, the insurance adjuster wants to total the car, what you can't see is the damage all around, which the trooper wouldn't let me take pics of because i would have been in the freeway. So, I'm grabbing all my receipts and all to try and get the largest sum or the car fixed hopefully. If anyone has been in a similar situation and has advice, I need it.

Wait wait wait... Tino?

Damn.. I bought my motor from him. I've heard a ton of bad stuff about that guy. Seemed nice to me, but sketchy for sure. My motor was high mileage, and as many times as I asked I never got compression or leakdown test results..

Mostly my bad on the whole motor purchase, it was my first one. Lasted about a year and a half and blew from intake manifold gasket failure..

Sorry to hear about the swap, and especially the wreck! I been in both of those situations, I hear yah...

If the insurance company offers you something, you CAN refuse it! They totaled my car, and expected the title, notified the DMV that my car was totaled before I agreed to anything... I said no ****ing way! They sent out an appraiser, once we filled up 2 pages of extra's on the car, they decided not to total it and give me $2100 and no title brands.

The insurance company HATES it when people know their rights!!

Research!!!

definitely know that you can refuse their offer, present all reciepts, ask if you can buy back the car after they total it. this gives you the option to fix it or at least salvage the engine!

I already warned my dad that I'm bringing the car to his place one way or another. Had to prepare him to store a junked car on his property for a little while. If it's totalled, then it just became a full time drift car, as I'm buying a 2500 chevy truck tomorrow. if it doesn't, then I'm going to baby it.
