I'm on my way out to Nissan. My question is what happens AFTER the Warranty. Will I have to pay for this?!?! Isn't this a Design Flaw?

well that's a nice way to put itblacksrjdm wrote:Its...ready ready ready...a auto motherf**king matic. Put it in D and leave it the hell alone.
You're...no help no help no help...a motherf**king basher. Click back on your browser and the leave this thread the hell alone.blacksrjdm wrote:

o rly??blacksrjdm wrote:U all realize what CVT means right. Continuously variable transmission. There are no gears to change and the car is an automatic. Whats gonna happen when your warrantee runs out in 3 years and 36000 miles? Who cares, its 3 years away, and you can trade it in for something new.
The car has an automatic shifter, put it in D and drive it. I also have a 2003 altima SER, auto, I get in, put it in D and go, no need to shift an automatic. Thats why its an automatic.
Not to mention a 6mt may not be practical as a daily driver depending on where you live. I know im not commuting from suffolk county to nyc every day in traffic even with a v6(gas mileage) let alone a manual transmission.Ferguson wrote:I've never had a problem with this and I've got over 26000 km on my car, always driven in manual mode. I can't believe a dealer tried to suggest that they had to replace the transmission because of it! I'd find another dealer - those guys are a$$hol&s!
And to blacksrjdm... some of us had no choice - we couldn't get a MT... and others would just like to use a feature the car came with and should work.... so chill man.
You've got to be kidding me....bembol wrote:Not another it's "an Automatic" bash.
Sorry, used my BOLD to take the pics. Here it is. Apparently, after the Warranty is over I will have to pay for this Piece of s***!
I'm not sure what's causing this.
same reason that I got the CVT, but, I still dont understand the "shift mode" It doesnt make me feel like I have more control like a real MT doesSqueaksCoupe08 wrote:

Of course it doesn't feel like a MT! But it does give you more engine braking under downshifting, and it eliminates that annoying constant droning that drives me totally nuts with CVT!Bmore-coupe wrote:same reason that I got the CVT, but, I still dont understand the "shift mode" It doesnt make me feel like I have more control like a real MT does
+1. totally agree.Ferguson wrote:

if you don't feel like you have more control over your car in manual mode, then you aren't driving it correctly.... when accelerating from a roll, there's a huge difference in how fast the RPM's hit redline in CVT vs manual mode.. and that can mean all the difference in the world when trying to change lanes quickly..Bmore-coupe wrote:

honestly, you just sound like a hater, I second the sentiments of folks above asking what the phuck you're doing in the thread if you're just gonna talk s***... please take your 20 year old 30 lbs of boost red top 240 sx and turbo out of the thread if you don't have anything positive to addblacksrjdm wrote:U all realize what CVT means right. see the above post about the difference between the qr25 and the VQ35 regarding CVT performance in manual mode... night and day difference, so we wouldn't expect you to understand why we use manual modealphapig wrote:Did someone buy a CVT to use manual mode?
haha, I have done it more times on accident then on purpose. I like to rest my hand on it, and some times I have hit bumps or taken a corner quickly and knocked it into Manual.DAAN. wrote:You can get my piece :P I've never put it in manual since bought the car.
