on my 4x4 I ran straight pipe, cat delete, muffler from knecth's for 25$, ran it back over the rear axle and off to the side. Sounds allright, but I will prolly put a small resonator on the end to get a little deeper sound, since I had to weld the joints at all the bends. Welded muffler systems sound tinny until the welds pop, then it sounds like a leaky exhaust.

I was running 2.5" piping from the manifold back, no cat, into a single-in double-out flowmaster super 40 with 3" tips, and it sounded pretty darn good. It was deep, and incredibly loud. I can post pics and a vid when I get it back if anyone wants.

I'll try to post a video soon, it's been in the shop. Mine was pretty cheap, $150 for all new piping, the Super 40, and installation, and another $50 for the tips (included welding).

When I'm through, I'll post pics. Not sure if I can get vids of it. It will be 2 1/2 from the manifold back, no resonator and aftermarket chrome barrel.

2 inch pipe from the stock manifold back to a 29 inch long 2 1/2 cherrybomb of course you gotta run a blow torch over it and in it enough to burn out the packing materail in them that will beef it up alot!!they sound way way lower with no fiberglass crap but not a whole lot louder!!its an old muscle car trick!!!! oh yeah no tip!!!!just dump rite at the cherry bomb!!!

Anyone try an Aero-Turbine muffler on a 720 yet? There are a lot of vid/sound clips on youtube for various rigs that sound great. Just wonder what a pacemaker straight piped to an aero muffler and perhaps a resonator would sound like.
