I've got the Stance GR+ Pro, but i haven't had them on the car for very long. What do you want to know about them?

Just how they ride....

How harsh is it?

What are the roads like around you?

Just if its bearable as a daily ?

Its all relative, people drive daily in cars that are pretty much stripped out race cars.

go ride in a car an find out, because no one can tell you over the internet. I'm sure if your car drove like a semi you would consider it undrivable, but people drive them everyday....its all what you are used to and can put up with.

I will say however, that at least with 8/6 rates as long as you don't expect a car to ride down the road smooth you will be fine.

IMO the dampening is really important. I can deal with a stiff/bumpy ride, but a bouncy one gets very annoying. I find its actualy a more comfortable ride with the shocks turned up some so they can do their job, rather then just letting the springs bounce with the shocks on low thinking you have your suspension set to "soft"

Just look for a reputable brand(springs are some what easy to make, again its the quality of the damper that will really control the ride quality) with a lower spring rate.

I have KTS with the 8/6 springs, though Ive heard that SPL will sell them with 7/5 springs also... Keep in mind that many coilovers are designed for smooth roads and sticky tires. Even the 8/6 setup which is semi soft compaired to others starts loosing some grip on roads that aren't real nice.

IMO KTS seems to be the bottom of the barrel while still maintaining good quality and offering decent rates. If you are not doing track events and still want coilovers I'd reccomend the 7/5 KTS...

Try to get a ride in cars that have what ever coilovers you are getting

If you are deciding between the two, the Stances are generally considered much much better, but only marginally more expensive. As Red Coupe said, KTS are the bottom of the barrel. Anything cheaper is not even worth purchasing. KTS and Stance are considered pretty equal. So in conclusion, get Stance or get springs/shocks.

They're not too bad, and roads in Miami pretty much suck, at least most of the side roads do. Turnpike (where i do 80% of my driving) is smooth usually. As Red Coupe said however, this really a subjective matter. They don't bother me, but i can see where others might be unhappy with them as a DD.

With Stance you get two sets of springs 8/6kg and 9/7kg. The 8/6 coils come installed and the 9/7 are there should you want to swap them out. Of course, 9/7 is only gonna make it stiffer.

let me put it this way:

the rough ride is worth the performance gains because if you drive a 240sx and don't drive it aggressively, you need to sell it and get something else

First coilovers, then bucket seat, then gas, tires and a hell of a lot of fun. You get used to it. A 240sx is not a luxury car.

Megan racing street co's on my car. Rides fine. Very stiff if you turn down damping, but damn they handle! Rides fine for a dd. In my sig pic I still have about 1.5" of drop left if you're worried about how low you can go.

I used Eibach sportlines before I got my Stance. There's not too much of a difference in ride stiffness under normal driving conditions between the two. I even drove from GA to WA with the Stance and they're still holding up strong so you know there's some quality in them too.

I think this is probably best way to put it....Maybe not the drive hard or sell it bit, but honestly if your the type of person who wants to mod a 13 y/o economy car I doubt you would mind....

As long as your not expecting a luxury ride you will be good, its not like some one sitting in the passenger seat punching you in the head, its just that the bumps can be felt in the car rather then having it just float down the road...

I drove 1000 km in my car this weekend. Coilovers really aren't that bad. Sometimes I cringe going over a bumpy spot in the road, but that is pretty much as bad as it gets.

Ive seriously put ~20k on mine I guess....

Its just fun when there is a sudden big bump on the freeway and your car almost completely unloads on rebound.

Other then that and lifting one wheel on steep parking lot entrances I barely notice them....Occationaly you hit a freeway at the right speed where the seams are at the right frequency and it gets annoying, other wise I don't really even think about it.

My mom road in my car, and notices but didn't really complain or find it too stiff so I don't really understand enthusiasts who complain.
