Before that the Stroker was a pipe dream.. but now..any shop would love to be the first on the east coast to fully build a JUN SR.

But how much will this cost you?

And what will be your hp gains?

well it's 10% more displacement so that's a place to start guessing how much extra HP that will net you.

Don't waste your time with a liner at only 400hp, you will be fine, and not trying to be rude here, but you don't really seem like you have a good enough idea about what your doing yet to even get to 400hp and be safe about it.

Besides is it really going to be worth 6,000 to you (plus another grand at least for the machine work). Just hone the stock block and throw some nice pistons and rings in there and you'll be fine.

Movingviolation240 -- You are not being rude, you are very very correct. I am participating in this thread mainly to learn more about boring/honing/sleeving and what the SR block can handle. A stroker kit and sleeving is clearly day dreaming on (most) all our parts.

DonDonati88 -- I dont know what it would cost me, I'm not serious enough about it to run down the numbers. LIke i said to MV its just fun to think(and learn) about.

Regardless, doing a stroker kit is 1/2 proformance and 1/2 status symbol. =)

Id get a RB26, 2jz, or VG30 all before i'd even consider paying for a stroker kit...If your all about displacement, then obviously a 2.0L 4cylinder motor isnt the best choice out there.

2JZ.... ahhh

I would love to do that swap if I ever just have too much money to spend.... Didn't sombody up in your part of the country do that swap a while back and then take the motor out? For some reason I thought it was greaser but I'm sure it wasn't him.

Regardless 2JZ owns the RB26 and VG30 in my not so humble opinion.

2jz is best out of those mentioned. no doubt in my mind. but i'm sure some of the slow rb 240 guys will disagress, and i say bring it! i'll run ya! loljason, at jgy customs has a g20 with 300zx 87mm pistons and i forget what rods....but he runs 26psi of boost and hasn't had a problem. maybe his motor is stonger because it has 12 switches (hydrolics) <---wild! shaun

Yea Victor did (osofast240), but had problems with NHRAs New classes.....Performance Factory did the original swap (not stock by any means), and it was tuned to run 8's....But with the class problems, he pulled it and swapped a RB26dett, with a T88 inplace of the tt setup....here is his old link, last i checked car was at Unorthodox racing about 10 minutes from my house.

almost none? more displacement isnt gonna make your turbo flow beyond its limits. but you will get faster spool up/low end torque. slap a t28 on a LS6 and it will choke it, not add hp ;)

people dont buy stroker kits to increase displacement 10%, they buy them cuz they want a bottom end that can take 900hp. sure you can do a regular build on your SR.. but the stock crankshaft isnt gonna go much over 500whp... and HKS sleeves are closer to $500, labor for install should run about the same.
