I posted earlier about cvt fluid change, the reason was a loud whining sound from the cvt especially when accelerating, even after all new fluid installed, is ther another remedy for the whining sound ?

Based on your other post of the fluid smelling burnt, I'd start saving your money for a new transmission. I don't have personal experience but it doesn't sound good for you. How many miles were on it and has the fluid been changed before? Maybe you'll be able to drive it for awhile with the noise but who knows.

Mine does this too, but only after I've been driving for a while. My first thought was to get a transmission flush but now I'm kinda glad I haven't yet if it won't fix the issue.

A few things come to mind. Just about everything you need to know about your CVT is covered in this thread: CVT Transmission Issues. (Fail safe, Whining, Temps, & FIX!)

The fluid service intervals on CVT's from what I recall are 30K for "hard service life", and 60K under normal conditions. So you were way overdue for changing your fluid. At the very least it should have been checked/tested every 30K miles.

Nissan has acknowledged there's issues with earlier model CVT's resulting in their (Nissan) extending the warranty.
The extended warranty is to cover defective transmissions (CVT).

Nissan CVT Extended Warranty (a.k.a. CVT Customer Satisfaction Program)
Q2. What are the new terms of the extended warranty?
A. To provide customers with additional assurance regarding their overall cost of ownership we have doubled the warranty period for the transmission in all Model Year 2003 to 2010 Nissan models with a CVT. The existing powertrain warranty coverage of 5 years/60,000 miles will be extended at no cost, for CVT repairs, replacements or related towing, to 10 years/120,000 miles, whichever comes first.

This extension is effective immediately and requires no action on the customer's part. The remainder of the powertrain warranty coverage for components other than the transmission remains unchanged, at 5 years/60,000 miles, and your basic warranty coverage also remains unchanged. All other warranty terms, limitations and conditions otherwise apply.

Who performed the CVT fluid change? If you had it performed by Nissan, take your car back to the Nissan. If you did the change yourself, or paid someone else to change the fluid. You will need to post more information, about the fluid type that was used, and the amount of fluid that was used, and the protocol that you followed to perform the fluid change.
