do you think it would be better to mount it a little left of center so it covers more of the tach than the speedo?

yep, cover up the clock and maybe the lower bits of the tach, nothing more. i've mounted a gauge there (without a pod) and it wasn't really in the way of anything vital.

I posted the pics in the actual post...no more links. I am the coolest moderator ever.

If you can make various type of mounts you'll be in bussiness man. Have a single and double gauge option...I'll buy one myself.

Very nice workmanship. Is that a grafted pre-fab single pod? Thing looks clean enough to be stock equipment

Looks awesome! Can't believe autometer doesn't make one..

I'm doing a custom piece in the radio section below the radio w/ lexan. I'll have it posted up in a couple days.

Sweeeeeeeeeet.

You should start making some custom center console thingies too (like the one in your gallery, but w/ climate control shaved & only 1 slot for radio.

Have you ever thought of doing the bottom left (toward the door) of the steering column, there's plenty of space there (at least for me) for less necessary gauge(s).

Like Red Kat said, now that you have "perfected" it, maybe you should charge 1 rate for straight sell, and do "core exchanges."

Like I said earlier, consider making some of the "lower steering column trim" pieces that house turbo timers/pivot adjuster/extra gauge/whatnot.

I am working on some other projects. The stereo bezel is next. I am dropping the stereo down and putting gauges in between ac controls and radio.

I would be interested in one of those too! I made my own out of lexan. But to keep the flow on the inside a integrated peace is always welcome.

I was looking at the pics of the S14 gauge cluster and was wondering if you could design a system with two gauge pods and have them angled almost like rabbit ears. That way the only covered would be the warning lights.

really like the gauge pod! i just ordered some fiberglass supplies earlier today and im gonna have a go at making a dual gauge pod that will go kinda on the dash above the center dash controls/vents. Im gonna be using fiberglass mat for this project. any advice/tips to help out? also what type of paint did you use/recommend? thanks
