Civic Si did not have dual exhaust, but they're no slouch.

Love 'em or hate 'em, they're a solid performer - One of Honduh's best cars, IMO.

I had an 84 Si, and that car was revolutionary for its time.

What Hitman said. They're very good auto-x and roadcourse cars and pretty damn quick with a B-series swap.

I think mine weighed 1900#...IIRC. It's been a while.

Ronal mesh 15" forged 2-pc rims, 205/50/15's, all poly... That car was bad-a$$.

A stock crx si will have twin exhaust tips, like a 240 :D

i have a 90 crx si and it is a pretty cool car if you only use it to auto x or have it as a weekend racer, otherwise i hate the freakin car, it sux to drive on the highway because you feel like your in a go kart, has no power steering, and it sux to drive around. also the stock brakes are ok even with the 4 wheel discs, the 240 brakes are alot better. my 240 was so much more comfortable to drive around everyday that im selling the car next week. by the way FWD sucks a$$ i cant wait to get another 240. forgot one thing, without a decent engine swap they are really slow, even with a b16 theyre pretty quick but have no torque whatsoever.

i had a crx+b16 The car was an HF... the swap was WAY more involved than an sr20 swap. axels, spindles, new mounts shift linkage... it was really fun when it was finished tho. Plenty of torque for a 2000 lb car including myself. it went 14.2 @ 97 when it was bone stock. (just the swap)

I don't think honda accually started the si package untill 85. I have an 87 si, and for an everyday get around town car I wouldn't give it up for anything. I have 160,000 miles on it and I still get upper 20's per gallon in town. It's no luxary ride (no power steering kinda sucks but my fore arms are huge:D , and not just my right one!) And the thing still has some power for what it is, I out ran a 2001 Cougar and I don't have any mods, or rice. It can get a door ding and I won't go postal, and I basicly drive the living sh*t out of it and it still keeps going. Also the thing is only 4' long (maybe 5') you can fit it anywhere.

This guy must have been riced out then b/c he had some strange dual exaust set up. one pipe on the left side of the car & one on the right. Not side by side.

HF = Half finished.

The Si's are fairly decent. Should run a low 16 stock, but some mods can put it into the low 15's fairly easily. The HF's...don't bother with that motor. Unless you're just looking for very good gas mileage. A buddy of mine had one and he'd put $5.00 of gas in a week and drive all over the damned place.

HF is the lightweight, no options, high-MPG Honda.

Great for swaps.

isn't the HF crx the lightest car honda has produced. or maybe it's just the lightest civic. The B16 swap is easy for the CRX, but not as easy as the B16 into some other hondas. like the gen2 integra for example. perfect swap. even the harness is fully useable except for a few plugs you gotta add.

i think its theyre lightest car, 1700 pounds is pretty damm light...my friend just bought and HF crx, his title of whatever says 1700 pounds for the weight, its all stripped out on the interior so i dont know if they come stock with that weight or thats just how much his particular car weighs:confused:

its too bad they dont make cars like that anymore, cars seem to get heavier and heavier as the years pass.

yep sure do, my friend has a 91 crx si (last year they made it), and he has custom intake, headers, catback, and strut bar, and his car is pretty quick, whenever we run from a stop, he gets me rite off the line, but once i shift to 2nd, i pull past him easily, but its def quick, considering the amount of power i have on him, of course my car weighs just over 3k, where i really kill him is up top! haha, from about 6o or so, it looks like he's not even trying

My friend with his newly installed JDM B16 and Zex beat a VR4...on HIGHWAY. Sorry, he didn't beat him, he smoked him. Good car if you do it right. At the track, 13 flat with that set up. Not bad for a honduh huh? But if you ask me, try to find a CRX Si...they are as rare as 240sx and kept it's price just like it too.

the only thing that really hurt the vr4s up top was the 4wd, usually 2wheele drive is better on top end
