I speak to Brian Crower and Dustin @ Crower just about every week... The story changes all the time... They WERE supposed to be getting cams pre-ground and passing the savings on to us but that didnt work out... The current situation they have stated is they will be getting cam blanks some time this month and will have to grind them in house (passing the added cost on to us) and should have them availible in March... Brian was pretty certain that these dates were accurate...

Current MSRP pricing on the cams is $449.00 according to Brian....

Reading through this thread I think that there was some missinformation concerning the V3 cams... First was the peak HP number... 50 HP is not accurate.. they made 35 more peak HP and made 49 more HP at redline (6500 rpms)... Second, the V3 cams are NOT drop in cams... They will require some clearancing in the shim bucket bores... the lobes are so large that they contact the edge of the bore in some spots... these cams are best clearanced on a bare head (no valves) so you can easily turn the cams by hand and see where the clearance issues are.... The V2 cams are drop in but may require shim adjustments for proper valve lash... Crower has a different (slighty tighter) valve lash spec than your FSM... I personally have never shimmed a head as tight as Crower recomends...

Looking to build my spare KA soon. Might as well drop some V2's in if they do infact drop right in.

Please keep the thread alive. You have at least one person interested.

The v2's should be drop in, but anytime you replace a cam you need to check your clearances anyway.

The v3's like previously mentioned do need to be shimmed.

I would be down to pick up a set of V3's if the pricetag was under 300.

Timing went smooth,Everything back together,ex Intake and exhaust, Should be able to drop in the engine tonight, and see if I have time to start it up,Kinda worry and excite at the same time, for break in. Kinda worry about that, but it should go smooth will see what numbers the cam and pistons put out.
