Your car would have gotten high marks for looking like a quality ride, the fun usually comes with the ad wording and the asking prices.
For instance that Sapphire one I posted awhile back has hit reality last week:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/5846631383.html
VERY surprised it's still there, 72K miles and excellent condition...I want it BAD!

A newer year and it would be better. Still wonder if I should have gone turbo since I'm up to the same investment as the turbo. But this feels custom so I'm fine with mine being mine.

Weren't you in a '94? Anything '93+ is best with the upgraded injector array and a few other small things except the steering wheel where I like the '90-'92 three bar style better, and also the climate control setup.
As for TT or not, well, a good buy TT is hard to get under $10K except with luck (the good ones I post here), and as you see in the Sapphire above you probably spend $7-9K for a proper NA...with the value a little lower but a good example never in that range...as with the Sapphire where the guy starts WAAAAYY high.
Anyway, I loved my NA and still do (still have her but she's a basket case) and only went TT looking for power, and CRP color. The NA is FAR easier to work on and have worked on if that's possible, and cheaper too without turbo hassles so when/if ready for TT, you'll know that you'll need to be ready to spend double on keeping her happy and viable year-round.
That's the tradeoff basically, enjoy what you have as it looks like it should be a good ride for a decent amount of time!

Somehow this one slipped by...not the best option out there, but an interesting car and of course I love the SWhities...:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/5887433952.html

And yet another slip-by, this one SURE to create some buzz in both directions...check this 49K mile jdm import out:
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/5885730660.html

And finally, for SeanTexan's benefit here's the ones we like to laugh at because the problems are large and expensive but HORRIBLY mis-diagnosed and downplayed, the car not so great and heavily modded w/the owner wanting to recoup mod money from his timebomb with a really ridiculous asking price, WELL over twice that things' value:

What the actual FFFUUUUUUAAAA? Salvage Title, spray can primer black, $4500. Homie needs to lay off the ganj

Been eyeing this thing for a while, wish I had the funds, it is just like my first Z.

Almost inclined to bring this one home once the Lexus and 4runner are sold.

Wow, #2 is indeed a beauty but WTF with the "11000 miles" thing....111,000 miles, or 110,000 missing a 0?
11K miles would be worth a LOT more than $5200 and you'd be a fool for not snagging it if it was! Hell, I'd drive down there tomorrow if it was!

You may, and you may only be after a nice cruiser in which case you've made the right decision and I wouldn't dream of knocking it, I myself would love to have a nice stock NA Z32 to cruise (but only after I build another TT to RAGE!!!!!!!!!). I was just expanding on what Dave said about a decent TT vs a decent NA and price and such.

I just figured it was 110K since at 11k the asking price would be $25k. I would contact him to ask but I don't have $5200 to drop on a Z car at the moment so there's no point. We'll see what kind of bonus I reel in this year, maybe I'll be getting myself a really nice Christmas gift.

So I just really want to vent, I'd spoken to the guy before and he wanted entirely too much for this car when it was half stripped, haven't talked to him since but, it really bothers me that someone would rip apart a 67k mile pearlglow Z like that.

Wow, odd indeed...was a reason given why the car was dis-assembled in the first place, bad motor I think I remember you saying? Anyway, really weird and especially that he wouldn't be interested in dealing with you for the whole thing. A pearlglow TT would be interesting, loved Chris' (Z-Owned) brother's Z for that color- really stands out on the road and in a good way.
And gotcha with the "11000 mile" saffie, hard to go in with nothing to work with...so GOOD LUCK with a great $5K bonus! :dblthumb:

Hmmm, interesting except for the lack of 120K (possibly not mentioned) and the salvage reason as you said. Probably a fender bender as suggested by the cons, still worth a close inspection (smics, mounts, etc.) before considering purchase and $6500 is high for salvage also, probably $4500 best actual value unless really mint other than damage.

Being that it's Christmas time and thoughts range to dreamy stuff, it's fun to see 71K mile, 900HP GTR's for $25K...

Many, MANY muy bueno pots I'd say... :ohno:
HAD to have meant $2,500 as it's barely worth that...maybe, depending on how much weed he smoked before taking on maintenance, or spent on ganj INSTEAD of Z maintenance!

CRAZINESS with the LP2, fairly decent car but the price even at 15K is not so good unless you wanna pay for his mods.
REALLY didn't like the "purple" interior bits, hoping it was just bad lighting because that alone would make me not buy the car.

Dane (Houston Z) does admirable work from what I have heard and Dane is a pretty smart guy from what I gather the few times I've talked to him. Th car was his E85 R&D mule and is fully setup to run corn, also it was his personal car for a while so it was pretty meticulously cared for by a Z specialist so I think $15k was a fair price but $40k is f***, $40k is mint condition e60 m5 territory, and as much as I love Z32s given the choice I'd be rolling the German V10.

Yeah that's a bunch of s*** it's not even that clean on the interior. I'm partial to mine of course but that's because my interior is pristine.

Yeah, 40K for a Z32 is just pure craziness from any way you look at it. Can't even really imagine one worth 20K, even if it was 100% updated/upgraded.
