I am still preparing to do the same thing.

See this thread...

zerothread?id=136978

It's a bit old.. I'm still trying to find the time, a warm garage, and the courage to start working on this project.

If anybody starts the project... Take lot's of pics and do a write-up on how to do it.

That would be awesome!

they are a direct bolt on, you just need to decide how you will incorporate a new restraint system. currently I only run a lap belt using the factory mounting points, however to pass inspection in VA and to be safe I am preparing to get a roll bar installed so that I can run a 5-point harness system. if you don't get a roll bar and simply mount the shoulder harnesses, I would recommend a harness bar. if you don't get one of those, make sure you mount the harnesses approx. horizontal with your shoulders (there is an exact degree at which not to exceed, but it escapes me at the moment), reason being if you are in an accident, the force of the impact will crush your spine if the shoulder harnesses are installed incorrectly. whenever I tech cars at an event, at least one person always has them installed wrong. hope that helps.

i might be swappin to coupe doors this week...im just gonna get 2 black manual coupe doorsand swap over

in reality though, you can actually strip down a vert door to be lighter than a coupe door, but you might want to think about welding and roll cages though...and harnesses...

ill post some ish in a few days...
