Coolant temp gauge? sensor

alright, Ive done my searching, I need to replace my coolant temp sensor, the one that works the gauge, not the one for the ECU, whick one is it, the single wire one, or the dual wire one?

The engine coolant temp sensor is the the single wire one which can be picked up at a Nissan dealer. If you run an S13 you can get one for the 91-94 KA, but it looks like you have an s14 so you'll need the 95-98 KA CTS.

I just replaced mine and it made things run much better. First i made the mistake of getting a 98KA temp sensor because it was in stock. That made my S13 temp gauge read the temps. very low. (the needle would hover over C instead of the middle of the gauge)

so just to clarify,, the one with two wires is not supposed to be replaced with a ka sensor?

cuz i replaced that one with one from oreillys. if so, im glad i saved the old sensor.

Off the top of my head, i don't remember what the two wire one is. I didn't replace it though
