I remember that thing, I stole money out of my mom's purse to buy it and told them it was my friend's and I borrowed it. lolJesda wrote:I was not a cool kid:

Yeah, but did you OWN that in it's arcade style glory? Man, if you did - you were the bomb! I had wealthy friends (or I should say friends from wealthy families) that had actual arcade podiums like Galaga, Cobra, Donkey Kong ... they made me sick - d4mned rich kids.biggie wrote:Better:

No didn't own it, but put enough quarters into that and Mario (before Nintendo came out) to own them all.scotty-2-forty wrote:Yeah, but did you OWN that in it's arcade style glory? I had a Huffy Thunder Road back in '72-73.scotty-2-forty wrote:Man, the 70's were fun to be a kid!

Hahaha ... we didn't need no stinkin' CPSIA back then! We got injured/maimed, lost limbs and had non-reversed mental disorders due to the lack of guidelines as compared to today! ... AND WE LOVED IT!audtatious wrote:

Cool. Anyone remember these?MinisterofDOOM wrote:Screw that crap, I had one of those:
1960 Murray pedal car (mine was a police car, but we painted it red). It's still in my parents' garage. Even has a sort of differential...one of the rear wheels is unpowered and spins freely.
Mine has these hubcaps, and still has the padded seat cushion (blue).

Yeah, had that too ... my parents, while not rich really spoiled me with all kinds of anything dealing with cars.Bubba1 wrote:How about this?
I had an Aurora set as a kid, the cars were a Jag XK120, Mercedes 300SL, and giant winged Chapparrel (yeah, pretty old). I might still have the cars. In the 80's I bought an updated Tyco set, which I gave my son. Pretty elaborate.

That looks way better than the s*** I had:audtatious wrote: Oh, and SSP's rocked
