Hey guys, I tried searching on this subject and I didnt find too much. If I take my stock SR MAF or a Z32 maf and put it in the charge pipe after the BOV will I have any problems with the car running right?

Or how else would I vent my BOV to the atmosphere?

your car will run better with it like that and its the only way to vent your bov to the atmosphere without cousing boble or stall. well you can do a standalone wth map also.

Umm...so I should do it the way I described? Or leave it stock? You kind of confused me.

I dont understand why everyone wants to go atmospheric so bad, it doesnt give any performance gains

i would leave it stock, ive tried this before with 2 mafs and destroyed both. they were both stock sr or ka24 mafs, (havent tried z32). they are not made to take that kind of air pressure, nor heat.

if you are bound, set, and determined, put it a foot or so in fron of the throttle body.

venting to the atmospher doesnt help as far as performance but the blow through maf will be better if you put it on the cold pipe. it will increase throttle responce and a closer reading on what is going on.

The MAF reads uncompressed air via a heated eliment. I don't see how you expect to run compressed air over that and have it not fail in some way.

My personal opinion is to either explore aftermarket solutions, such as a MAP or stick with the stock setup.

I recirculated my Blitz BOV and that thing is still loud as hell, so I dunno why it would matter....

i agree, my turbo xs is recirc'd. still loud. if you really want more sound out of a recirc'd system, have the recirc tube (on intake) and intake pipe all be aluminum instead of the stock rubber.
