Ok, i have been sitting on this series one harness for a while and i am ready to get cracking on it. Basically i want to convert this harness to series 2 coil packs, i am going to be eliminating the MAF, and the 02 Sensoe plugs. also i am going to be wiring in a resistor for the injectors and changing the plugs to make it top feed. Has anyone tackled this endeavor yet ? i imagine it will not be too hard, just i am curious about ignitor wiring and the plug differance tween the 2 types of coil packs. i would imagine the most basic way would be to re run all the wires straight from the ecu plug, and eliminate the plug on the series 2 coil harness ? any advice ?

Maybe some of the Ignitor wiring will help you here:

its not terribly hard to do, just run the trigger wires from the ecu to the coils using preexisting wiring.
you'll need an 8pin connector to do all the wiring but if you do it right you in theroy wont even need to change the coil harness much but put the s2 coil plugs on it and the rewiring for the 8pin plug.
also it might be worth noting that s2 coils will not bolt into a s1 head, the heads are slightly different due to coil configurations.

i had both bolted onto my head, originally i was a series 2, and when i sold my harness and went with haltech e6k i went to series 1 for simplicaity with ignitor setup and i had no issues, only issue was coil harness

Yeah, just clip the ignitor box out of the harness. I'm sure you can find a wiring diagram on line, but I think they are all labeled on the box. Just mark them before you cut them. Want me to grab a S2 connector from the JY for ya. It would be a bit cleaner me thinks. Anny connector would work though.

hmm i should just clip ignitor, and remove second relay ? once i remove that stuff i think i will compare it to series 2 schimatic , i might even do two 50 pin military plugs to firewall, and resleeve it, it would make sense if i take whole harness apart.

mad baller spec there, wait till you check out the prices for parts to build a harness like that...you'll easily spend 1k in parts.

haha u forget i am in military, i just need 2 50 pin connectors, i could even take them of the spare harness i got from scott buwalda, i am not doing entire harness with mil plugs just going to the ecu plug and placing them where it enters to firewall, and mount them so it looks nice. whole lot of labor though... after seeing all those baller engines i have to step my game up a bit lol

i hear ya on stepping up the game bit, i may tear apart the spare ka and rb harness i have and redo the shortened harness bit...it looks ok but i feel like it can be better.
