yeah, its been talked about for a while, and is a go for '09... if I were to guess, I'd say and hope, that Nissan doesn't do a convertible A/C...Alt.ImaCoupe wrote:Hey, have you guys seen this?

Maybe an Altima Coupe convertible is next. Do you think Stillen will make a kit?lol
HARDTOP FTW!!!!Sith LL_Coupe wrote:Only kinda convertible I like are hard-top convertibles. You loose the lines of the car I think with a soft-top. Especially with a coupe. The 350Z Roadster comes to mind with the way a soft-top kills the lines of the car.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! EPIC!Alt.ImaCoupe wrote:So if an AWD G35 is a G35x, will an Altima SE become an Altima SEX?
I bet not. It's not practical for Nissan for take their family based fun car and put cost into it to make it AWD. Not gonna happen. It would make the 3.5 fully loaded altima coupe 35k. Bad ideas.mcheddadi wrote:convertible? I bet that nissan will make an AWD nissan altima coupe. want to know why?
nissan murrano 09 has the SAME platform as the nissan altima coupe and the SAME motor (vq35de) and the same engine layout.
basiclly its plug and play compatible. just take the propeller shaft, awd box and rear final drive (rear transaxle) and you just plug it in the altima and is uses the already installed sensors + ecu signals to work
damnit, i'm going to try doing it if I find a wrecked 09 murano
lol i was thinking the same thing! maybe its just the Canadian way of saying itadidas2go wrote:
Also, WTF is this propeller shaft What happened to drive shaft
Or even better maybe it can fly, AKA has Lambo Doors LOLHussain wrote:

The G37 is a hardtop. 3-piece retractable top to compete with the 3 series beemer and Lex SC430 retractables.Sith LL_Coupe wrote:Only kinda convertible I like are hard-top convertibles. Nice, glad to hear Infiniti spent the extra money to do this. It's retarded when I see a nice car and they make some cheap rag-top convertible out of it.Cali 2 Balti G wrote:

Also isn't the Murano only in CVT so the mehi would have to replace his 6MT transmission with a CVT no??adidas2go wrote:

NEVER! lolspockrock wrote:

yeah but I think what you are missing is he would have to go from 6MT to CVT AWD. The motor is different, then the transmission, I do not think Nissan has a 6MT FWD biased AWD, that you can use.Hussain wrote:lol ya i was actually thinking the same thing. it would probably still work, would just need some fabrication. my brother had a 2001 GT Mustang automatic and blew his motor (dumb ***) and replaced it with a motor from a stick shift and it just had to have one piece altered a little bit. so this would probably just need some extra fabrication...... CVT FTW!
Now I maybe over complicating this but I do not think its easy as using an adapter plate, the transmission it self has to be built for AWD.mcheddadi wrote:

anyways the I wouldn't need to take the cvt transmission, I would just need to keep my 6mt and use an adapter plate or something like that. custom fab FTW
Like this? Murano GTCLongBeachCoupe wrote:Mendi... get that murano! Pick up a turbo!Smoke people on the autocross!
that sounds familiar now that i think about it..... i think i did hear something like that before but idk. plus if he uses a manual transmission wouldn't he have to get custom tunning also? like tunning to computer. i'm no expert at this, just guessing. it would be interesting to see what a professional would say, maybe give a ballpark estimate of how much it would be and what you would actually need to get... mehdi if you got time to kill one day, you should pass by a shop and see they say (doesn't hurt to ask)spockrock wrote:the transmission it self has to be built for AWD.
