I'm just wondering how different the suspension on a coupe is from the convertible and if its possible to mod it in. I have a suspension kit for a coup but it says excl. convertible like everywhere else

Don't have to worry about it. You can just use them on your vert with no problem. What is it btw? Springs, struts or coilovers?

From the Convertible Sticky/FAQ (you didn't even have to "search"... shame on you!):
That Sticky on the very first page of 240sx Convertible Forum wrote:The suspension parts I want to buy say "excluding convertible", can I still use them?Yes you can! The convertible is slightly heavier than the coupe and fastback so it will ride slightly lower on the same suspension parts. (But that's not a bad thing!)zerothread/200644
The link in the quote also provides tons of info on springs/shock combos & coilover install into vert.
