My man if you dont know wat that sweet baby is then you dont deserve that 240 lol, jk bro. Its a 180sx from japan. Dont buy one off of ebay (like i did) fitment sucks u know wat and it took my a while to get it aligned properly.

My first lesson in anything JDM is expensive as hell as just been learned. Looked into prices for a type x body kits and it would be a grand for a full kit. better to put that into turboing my ka ( : .... But i am new to the 240 world. My bad for exploiting my noobness.

lol its all good bro. But yea authentic jdm stuff is very expensive. You have a really good idea of turboing your car rather than aero. Look up on craigslist you can buy subtle aero at a affordable price.

word thanks. Still in high school and my car looks like s***. I need to get it painted so rather than keeping it stock i wanted to add just a little bit to it to spice things up. Dont want to be a ricer or anything but if i am shelling out a grand for a good paint job then why not get a sick kit so i dont have to worry about matching the paint down the road.

You're 22 and still in high school? Yikes.

As far as a conservative body kit, Supermade Instant Gentleman. Oem aero is nice too.

Just an FYI, $1000 doesn't get you very far in a paint job. Unless you're getting a hefty discount.

I bought Nason brand to paint my car.... it was $460 for a gallon of paint, reducer, clear and qt of activator. PCL primer was $138. With all my materials I'll be at around $800.

Spend that money somewhere else.

<-- does not recommend $50 home depot paint job, lol

trust me, I've seen them. They look good from like 10 feet away, but when you're up close, you can tell the owner cheaped out.

OP, just an FYI, Version Select makes a replica of the OEM Kouki 180sx. The only difference is it does not have the "bulge" on the front bumper for the license plate, lip is merged with the bumper (oem lip is not only hardest to find, but also $300+) and the sideskirts are one piece instead of two pieces like oem. Fitment is almost perfect and the price is considerably cheaper than real oem.

Don't worry about what it looks like, just get it running well, turbo, coilovers, etc... THEN when your older and less likely to have an accident, fix up the body. Trust me, I know from experience...

Only the rear valances are OEM on this car. Rear center piece is missing. Side skirts and front bumper(I don't see separate bumper extension) are aftermarket. It's one of the best mix-and-match bodykit works.

you can get 180sx TypeX oem Valance and 180SX Type X Side Skirts or silvia aero sideskirts (very small difference between them)

i belive they sell em at pandagarage.com..... for $135 for the valance replicas or the oem ones for $245...

Thanks guys for the input. As much as i would love to have an OEM type x kit id rather just get a replica kit and throw the extra money somewhere else. I just want a kit that adds some more details. if you know what i mean. IMO the instant gentleman isnt conservative unless its only because that car is lowered a heck of a lot.

I Would Just Get The Version Select, Since It Has No Bulge For A Front Plate.

When I first had my hatch I was going to put JDM aero on it, but after I couldn't find the actual one with a good price if at all, I gave up, I wish I knew they make the replica.

Not sure how one obvious bandwagoneer can say that to another, especially after suggesting one of those 360* snowplow body kits that all the cool driftar kidz have.

F*ck "aero," make your car go fast.

Edit: Though, coupes do indeed rock.
