Exactly what i was thinking.93coupe wrote:Really? That is surprising...
With that being said, I do have to say that I am a bit surprised as well. Not to take anything away from Rob's car, I like it so far, but have you seen some of the other cars that win ROTM?Bmore-coupe wrote:Congrats
I honestly didnt know how to respond.PhEnoM78 wrote:This is an honor that everyone should congratulate him for i dont get how 20 people can view this and not respond
I don't think that anyone said it was about money; I think you misinterpreted what John was trying to convey here. There just isn't all that much done to this particular car (modification-wise) to warrant ROTM status.Zerep wrote:i dont think its a money spent type of thing
Really?Zerep wrote:... more like how clean it looks ...
Never saw that pic BUT the reason why i said what i said is bc out of the cars that posted up there rides i really like his on the OUTSIDE. I mean i know he doesnt have a s***ton done but the only ones who do are surman dangeris DOC and like "the other turboed coupe sorry i forgot ur name"93coupe wrote:

Really?
And this is by no way a personal attack on Rob Vegan, I just disagree with some comments and decisions made here. Congratulations though.
this is not entirely true... my truck made it as a project track car still in the works... i bought it for $800 bucks and as far as actual modding goes i have thus far only put in around $500... everything else was just done custom by me or some of my friends... not to mention my truck is no where near what it will be in the futureBmore-coupe wrote: have you seen some of the other cars that win ROTM?
There are people who have put 10's of thousands of dollars into modding some of those cars.
While I do agree with that Greg, I wasnt trying to say anything bad about the car selected. But there were quite a few people who threw their hats in the ring for this one. Im not saying "Bad Choice", I am however surprised.AZhitman wrote:A few thoughts:
ROTM is not a car show... it's not awarded by points, or whose car is cleaner or has more mods.
It's an opportunity to feature someone's ride in a major market web publication, and an opportunity for the car to be seen by potential sponsors.
Honestly, most people are too lazy to submit an entry for ROTM.
