I had a q45 maf on my engine for about a day, it doesnt run or idle worth a crap until fully warm, thats not that big of deal but it would get old fast. Having to wait 5 to 10 mins before you drive it every morning or when ever.

Sum it up, unless your shooting for over 300hp get a z32 maf.

Sorry to stir this up again but Ive had this issue with my RB20DET in my 91 240 sx. Tell me if this sounds like a MAF problem or FPR problem or something. One day I changed coil packs and plugs because I had that bad miss problem. To my surprise everything was awesome car pulled strong under full boost through all rpms. Then one day after boosting hard for a long time I stop at a red light and the thing is like running on 5 cylinders. Under acceleration its rough and hardly no power. also smoke out of exhaust. gas smell. I checked for clicking in all injectors while symptoms were happening everything seemed good. I have good spark I dont know whats going on.

UPDATE seems car runs great cold no matter what. Soon as it warms up this happens. ESPECIALLY after say driving under boost then parking it off for a half hour then restart it runs like CRa%$P. PLEASE HELP!!!!

It's hard to say if what you're experiencing is the same thing that I was. I didn't have the gas smell and smoke out the tail-end (by smoke, i'm assuming black or white smoke?)

When I was having problems, it ran great cold also, but once it warmed up it would start to have issues. One thing that I did to see if it was the MAF was to actually unplug it when I knew the car would run fine, then drive it around - if what the car does then is similar to what you experience when it warms up, then yeah, it's probably the MAF also.

Let us know!
