Ok I've looked over my notes and here is what I have to say.

First: your numbering of the pins are slightly confusing you should show how you numbered them.

Second: You have a lot of useless stuff listed that is not needed (It might just end up confusing people) ie... when troubleshooting people following this quide will have twice as many wires to go through.

third: The following pins are wrong, have an error, or are missing (6, 10 , 11, 15, 20, 24

fourth: The following pins are questionable as I used different wires to hook them up (12, 21)

last: These corrections are referenced from my personal wiring guide which was used to wire up an RB25det in an s14. The car ran perfectly with no ecu codes, so hopefully these corrections are right. But don't hold me to them.

the number is looking at the back side of the harness(wires coming out). What did you use for pins 24 & 20. The rest of the wiper stuff I don't really care about because I just ran those parallel.

As far as those pins being wrong, I got all of that from the diagram but I'll look at it again.

Maybe a better question is how did you hook up the fuel relay and eccs relay if not using the f3/m63 plug

When you say you ran the Wipers parrellel you mean you just hard wired them with out going through the ecu? or what? But glad to see we are def making progress on the M63/F3 Guide

Parallell meaning I left them attatched to the KA m63/f3 plug and removed them from the ka harness and ran them along side the rb harness

So I assume the RB harness doesn't have the wiper controls? I thought it was the same. So you just ran the wires from the M63/F3 connection to the wiper motor it self?

The RB harness does have wiper controls but basically yes just look at the pinout from the ka and trace all of wash/wiper wires back to their plug and then remove them (with wires) from the ka harness and add it to the rb harness. I could have used the ones from the rb but its just more wires that could get mixed up so I figured leave them alone. I left them on the ka f3/m63 and swapped the RB wires into the KA f3/m are swapping all the wires over to the ka f3 and leaving the ka wiper wires there.

So are you hoping to get everything wired up this weekend?

I think I've got the wiring done but had a horrible work day today and couldn't get the motor in.

1. I cracked 2 pilot bushings trying to install them

2. Comp. Clutch sent me the z32 throwout instead of the z31.

3. The splines on the disc are too narrow and the valleys are not deep enough and won't fit the shaft

Not a happy camper today....hopefully it will run tommorrow.

Anybody have any idea how much hp a High pressure, pressure plate and a stock disk will hold?

Finally got everything ready to start the motor but couldn't find my circuit tester so I will try it in the morning. I still have to make the throttle cable brackets, add coolant, fill transmission, etc.

I'll keep you updated

Well, it runs. no codes or nothin. I haven't checked the diagnostic ports or a/c yet but everything else works. I'll repost that file later tonight with what I hooked everything up to on the f3 plug.

Sounds good. I'm waiting on my clutch replacement discs before i put her in for the last time, but when I get then in I'll throw the motor in and give a second testimony to the guide's accuracy.

I do. It starts right up.

Driveshaft should be back by friday so I'll have more updates soon.

Well, I drove the car yesterdy and everything worked fine. Hooked up the VSS and the speedo works. so that has been updated on the sheet. The only things still in question are the diagnostics stuff and the A/C

great info there guys. the only worries i have about mine (still far off but reading about it none the less) is the wiring. im completely compitent in my removing the motor, installing new, etc etc, but im scared of wiring. id love to have a perfect guide to how to install it and id probably pay money for it as long as everything was ok and my year (i have a 95 240) thanks for the info.

Both wiring issues are now covered. USe that guide for the F3-M63 wiring and search for the RB lower harness wiring. IF you're not confident, up on your right there's an ad for engine swap wiring.

check out http://www.racebread.com. They have instructions for the lower harness on the "files" page. As far as the motor harness, what I posted is everything you really need.

Just an update. I have tested the consult port (diagnostics) and it is working perfect. So the only thing that has not been tested thus far is the A/C switch. the Pinout's notes have been update with this info.

hi guys I'm totally a newbie , i've been doing research here and all the threads that i can find in Google, i got screwed pretty bad with my swap but that's another story, the harness that i have is cut i just bought another but its some what different I'm wondering if the good harness can still be used with my rb25det here are the differences : the good has more connectors than the bad like in this pic: i have the pin outs and the good seem to be a series 1 so i'm guessing since my bad harness half is missing there is no way of telling is there?
