Did the G35 5At (I'm looking at the X) come with paddle shifters even without the sport option? I believe I read that somewhere but I would be surprised if in 09 they stopped doing that except with the sport option?

Can anyone attest to how much more beneficial the 7AT is? I've heard reports that the shifting program can be a little annoying at times (hopefully addressed in a future software update?)

Is the 5AT a bit less indecisive in the shifting?

What about gas mileage? Much of a difference if both cars are driven Grandma style, does the 7AT get more than like 1 or 2 MPG better or is it wash if you baby both of them?

Thanks much

On second thought, I would expect the MPG would be a wash because the lower displacement engine should be a little less fuel thirsty which probably would compensate for any fuel economy improvement the 7AT gives you?

to answer your second post. the mpg is a lot better on with the 7at than the 5at especially on highway cruising speed.
