Anyone know the process of using compact flash cards in the G37?

I'm curious about this too. I actually have never used compact flash memory.. only like miniSD, microSD and thumbdrives.

As of now, all of the information is in the G37 manual.

I tried it out today when I took delivery. It's dead simple. Just get a CF card, and drop some MP3s on it. Then either hit the source button (voice command: Compact Flash play) works too. I dunno yet if it'll handle any other music formats.

Which card did you get?

I've been looking at these: http://cgi.ebay.com/4GB-Sandis...wItem

SanDisk works well. Honestly any CF card will work with this. Don't let someone talk you into overpaying. 4GB card shouldn't set you back more than $50. http://www.costco.com/Browse/P...opnav=

Hi,

You might want to return that 8GB CF for 2GB or 4GB as there's a file limit of 512.

I read this on another forum, not sure if it's fixed on 2008 models.

I put about 1400 songs on the card before I read this post last night and they seem to all show in the song list.....

It just takes a while to get through em all.....

Another use of the Compact Flash is for CDs that you upload that are not in the library. All you see is the date and time each song was uploaded. There is a process in the user manual where you insert the CF card and download the unrecognized songs onto it. Then take the CF card and insert it into the card reader on your PC and go to the Infiniti web site (listed in the manual) and go through the update process to find the artist and song titles (really very simple). Once done, take the CF card back to the car and insert and it will update the artist and the song titles in your "Music Box". Quite clever.

Hey All - new member (first post).

I read on another forum that the CF slot is limited to either 512 songs or a 2GB CF card. Can anyone confirm this? My car is scheduled to come in next week (can't wait!) and as a way to tide me over until its arrival I was going to go out this weekend and pick up a 32GB CF card. Seems like it may be a waste of money though.

Can anyone confirm? Thanks!-Bill
