OK, I dove into the MusicBox functionality this evening and came up with a nagging question. Though it's fairly easy to load a purchased CD (the album title, artist and song titles all auto-load nicely), I'm stumped on the lack of "editability" when copying a CD I've built myself (via iTunes or similar). When I copy a CD I've built, none of the song titles or artists come over, nor does any kind of album title (of course). Though the song titles and artists can be entered manually (it's a lengthy process but do-able), there seems to be no way to enter an ALBUM title. As a result, your list of available albums on the MusicBox will be limited to the ones that are "store purchased" or "store copies," with a bunch of junk lettering (time/date stamp stuff) for anything you've burned yourself. This does not seem change-able (giving a CD you've burned a title of its own). Has anyone figured out a way?

That, Mr. Anderson, is brilliant. Have you done that before using iTunes as your writer?

I've got 08 QX56 with I believe the same musicbox as GS37. Does anyone know if there is a way to move songs onto the musicbox without ripping from a CD? If you have a large collection, this could take months. I've written to Nissan on several occasions and have heard nothing. It's hard to believe they they could add a hard drive to a car music system and not have thought of a better way to get music on the system.

Also, has anyone noticed the limitation and way around the 500 song max on the compact flash slot. Even if you put in a large 4 or 8 gig CF card, it will only read the first 500 songs.

That would be simply lovely. I've been trying to search for any firmware updates, but nothing. My bet this would be a dealer provided/installed firmware.
