Anyone on here use a cold air intake? Is it even worth it since we have an intercooler? I'm thinking about doing this but I can't find ANYTHING online. I think I'm just going to make a custom one. Thoughts?

not really worth it could have an intake tube made to your specs by perperoni on zilvia. then just get an apexi adapter to the maf for the filter.

He wasn't being a d!ck. That post answered your question. What more information do you want?

Yes they work. Anyone who says different is wrong, plain and simple. The turbo heats the air, but only a fixed amount. (given multiple variables) If you decrease the inlet temperature, you decrease the outlet temperature, period.

As far as the intercooler is concerned, even if you had a 100% efficient intercooler, (most air-to-air aren't) you would still only get the temps down to whatever the under hood temps are, which is generally 10-30° above ambient.

Don't, then I have to moderate and I don't like doing that.

Let me see what I can figure out. We changed our post naming structures to better suit google search engines, but we had to drop the numerical post ID numbers when we did it, so any post that had a link with those ID numbers lost the link. I THINK the admins have a way to search it.

Factory air box already a cold air intake, why have to hassle to fab a cold air intake to replicate the same function as factory ?
Just search a factory air box, throw a quality air filter in and everything is done.
