I usually wouldn't question that but the difference in ride is so severe it's basically objective.

Although the roads in CA are extremely bad.

Incorrect, cheap coilovers give bad reputation. Nuff said. Tein all the way.

No, you have it the other way around. Tein is suited for daily driving.

There was a thread somewhere on here that said they will be out sometime this year for the 2.5

So tempting to get but the practical side of me insists on keeping everything in warranty for now.

Tein just told me they're doing testing in the next few months for the 2.5 coilovers and springs and a product should hopefully be out later this year :dblthumb:

I would assume so for the super streets at least, the basics for the 3.5 retail for something like $1130 but I usually see stores selling them for at 5-10% less.

The only difference between the basics and the SS coils is the SS coils have adjustable dampening, which means you can adjust the harshness (or softness) of the ride.

Only downside is if you don't like the way the basics ride, you're stuck with it. You have some room to play around with the SSs. It's really up to you if that is worth the extra $400.

I'm still trying to figure all that out myself. Not sure which ones I want to go for.

^^ Xenon about summed it up, with the SS coils you can also adjust the ride height.

I would personally just spend the extra $$ for the SS coils, both are designed for daily driving, the SS are pitched for occasional track..

personally i always regret cheaping out on car/tech products.. have to park next to a new g37 coupe every day :tisk:

i too would spend the extra $$$ on the SS coils, id be kicking myself everyday if the basics were too harsh and i couldnt adjust them

So do you think after these revisions they will be up to par against the tein or will they even be better ?
