Even PBM says their coilovers are rough.

If you want something more comfy, go with Fortune Auto, which is what I did. Glad I did.

I know PBM are 10/8kg but you can buy 6kg springs and move the springs and make 8/6kg. My BC are 8/6kg, what are the standard fortunes?

7k/6k is their recommended rates, but they let you pick any rate you want for no extra cost.

Swapping springs wont do much because a lot of the "feeling" comes from the damper. An 8/6 psm coil would probably feel stiffer than most 8/6 coils.

They're not out yet, so no, no ones running them. Except Dan at PSM, Tommy Roberts in FD, and Matt Powers, who I think just picked up a kw sponsorship, in FD. Swift springs are cool, and they're supposed to be softer than their competition coilovers. We'll see what the dyno looks like when they show up.

I'm definitely interested. If I was gonna shell out $1500 for coils though, I'd probably just buck up and spring for the KW Variant 3's for $200 more. German > Japanese :chuckle:

KYB ADJUSTABLE STRUTS AND TIEN S-TECH SPRINGS.....If you want to COMFORTABLY daily your car this is an option. Not the best for handling tho and you have little to no adjustibility.

MEGAN RACING TRACK COIL OVERS.....If your a track rat, these are great, affordable well made coil overs with a lot of adjustment. You WILL be dodging pot holes in an effort to save your back (especially if you have a racing seat)

Apexi N1 EvX......These are for the occasional auto x or track guy. Plenty of adjustments and surprisingly street-able. Does great for touge driving.

Fortune Auto - More for getting that "Slammed" look. I'd recommend these for something pretty that rarely sees the track. Also not bad for a comfortable daily drive.
This has to be one of the worst suspension reviews I have ever seen.
First of all, you keep talking about adjustments. I have seen dyno sheets of megans, apexi N1's, and Fortune Autos (FA is the only one released from factory, not a private shock dyno) The Megan and Apexi shocks are TERRIBLE quality, and to boot, those "Adjustment" clicks you mention are not linear at all, meaning they are pretty much useless when tuning your suspension.
Hell, $300 ebay coils have 36+ click adjustments, it could have 1000 click adjustments and it still wont matter.

Secondly, most coilovers will allow you to drop the car almost on its frame rails. The amount coils lowers a car is a moot point when talking about quality.
Megan's are not for the track rat, they are for the drift rat who just wants the lowest and stiffest coils they can get their fanboy hands on.

My recommendation:
~$1000: Fortune Autos
~$1200: Fortune Autos w/swift springs or GC/Koni Yellow custom setup (cheapest Koni Yellows) or KW V2's
~$1500: KW V3's or GC/Koni Yellow custom setup

Does KW make the V2's for S14's? I've only seen V3's
