Yes, they are the same. I think this has been covered already.....guys?

However, for you my fine sir I will answer. Some "clearancing" in the rear behind the seat cushion back may need to be done. I had to take about a 1" square area out of the metal chassis support frame that has been welded into the rear of all convertibles. You'll understand once you have it apart. If not, drop me a line and I can walk you through it.

Good Luck. Happy topless motoring!

I made a mistake on this one. If I can do it all over again, I would cut and modify the knob, so I don't have to cut the brace. Just use a Dremel and cut rear knob and grind the top, so that little adjust knob/cap will fit.

What's your reasoning behind this?

I found it easier - well, also necessary for my Endura Tech coilovers - to notch the brace to fit. I still need to drop the coilovers to adjust the valving though because I have a removable adjustment knob.

As long as you don't have any sharp corners, any loss of structural rigidity will be minimal. Remember, stress collects at corners and leads to fatigue and cracking at those points. So if you're going to notch the brace, make everything nice and round.

There was not much space, so I cound't make clean cut. Besides, I did in the middle of summer in my garage, and it wasn't fun at all. Just get a Dremel, cut the knob, and modify the tip, so dial would fit and that's about it.

On driver's side, you will have to break the bottom of seatbelt housing a little bit to make it fit otherwise knob will hit. You don't have to do this on passenger side though. I didn't have to go through all this trouble if I just modified the knob.
