My 02 Q45 is finally in need of coil packs. Giving the P0300 code random misfire. Going to change all 8, but looking on advice on who has changed them and are they all good or some have experienced bad brands. I found packs of eight for as low as $89 per set and as high as $900 per set. Dealers want $2000 to change coils and plugs! What is the census?

I trust that you've already eliminated all other possible causes of the p0300 issue?

1. Here's a thread from someone else with a q45 who initially wanted to look at coilpacks

2. And here's one from an m45 owner who had to replace coilpacks. Ultimately he found used OEM ones online.

I was trying to see if it coded a particular cylinder, but it just codes random misfire. Checked exhaust for leaks, and O2 sensors. Was told that changing all coil packs and plugs to be sure was the best option to the random misfire code.

Perhaps it is the real fix in this situation, but I would be more inclined to keep with the troubleshooting steps that don't cost money for a while.
e.g.
- check for intake leaks such as loose clamps, cracked boots
- PCV valves and their hoses
ya know, common points that would affect all cylinders.
How many miles on the car?

But back to the main question; since I don't think these coilpacks are failure-prone, and you're buying them as a troubleshooting step, I'd go with the cheapest OEM style set I can find, even used.

The coil pack issue is common on the 97-01 series of Q45. First I've heard of on the '02+, but we don't have a huge sample size of the F50 series.

If I were replacing them, I'd lean toward Rock Auto and the Hitachi part... I think they made the OEM parts for Nissan. $28.79ea. Be sure to get the OEM specified NGK plug as well. Don't discount the possibility that you have a rocker cover leaking, and one of your coil packs is sitting in oil, but I would hope that the misfire would be specific to one cylinder instead of random. Depends on how much you want to count on the ECU to diagnose the problem.
