And YES they added an extra 100 to the white income but they also said that whites were highest grossing which isn't true.

As far as leftist newspapers go, I definitely prefer the LA Times. And for a right-wing paper, the good old WSJ. I dont actively read either one for business news, however, as I tend to prefer Business Week.

NY Times is commonly used in classrooms and instruction. It is clearly written and also recaps some history for those of us who weren't around or old enough to comprehend the workings of the world and politics. While there may have been that incidence in the past, I get the Times daily and its contents are comparable to other sources and legitimate since I've been a subscriber.

The Jayson Blair problem originates with internal affirmative action programs that got Blair quickly promoted from intern to a national reporter. He moved up DESPITE his KNOWN history for lying, fabricating stories, and bending the truth.
They also published a series of stories slamming the Bush administration for trusting information from Chalabi. Thats fine and -perfectly- valid, but if you go back a year you'll see "breaking" stories from the Times leading up to the war in Iraq, using Chalabi as a primary source -- hypocrisy at its finest. Apparently Mr. Chalabi is good enough for the Times but bad for Bush. Their readers must have short memories.
I'm not concerned with how eloquently their stories are written. Typically, the best and least biased reporting comes from writers who focus less on communication quality and more on information gathering; they're less inclined to use rhetoric and filler to skew a story. And even if students and uninformed professors use it as source material, it doesnt change the fact that the Times is a newspaper that promotes liars, lies about the world, and lies about itself. Its extensive use in academia is a cause for great concern.
