That is a good idea to pull the engine down. Should make it a lot easier to reach those top bolts and the sensor on the top. I vote motoman399 as the most helpful person of the month on Nico. I seen him seriously give great insight to almost every damn topic on here lately.

cool man good luck with everything and let us know what happens. also make sure you have some clutch pedal. i actually remember now when i got my clutch it said in the instructions for the first month to have an inch of free play in the clutch pedal during break in. so make sure you do that for a little while

yea the pedal has alot of travel thats sort of how i like it anyway...i appreciate everybodys input alot on this matter...ive been giving it alot of thought and pondering and researching and while driving ive been noticing things and looking at just how the set up is and what could be the possibilities...i still believe its the clutch has been somewhat contaminated and also that since they are both oem they arnt going to work for my needs (i had good results with oem stuff but when i replaced everythin i noticed i cracked the pressure plate from clutch kicking lol)

butttt ive been thinking that maybe the surface of the flywheel material isnt the greatest either...despite being new i think the quality is poor since its an f1 racing flywheel and when in doubt ask nico lol

the set up ive been pondering so far is as follows: (leme know if you spot an issue that may come into play and/or might not deliever to the demands i need it to)

f1 racing cromoly flywheel: (i want to run this unless you all think its too much of a POS then i might do the white bunny)

Image

ACT category race disc sprung 6 puck clutch disc (i think this will be a good quality material that wont wear out or heat up clutch kicking)

Image

EXEDY stage 1 pressure plate...minor upgrade from stock on pressure and feel (having doubts about this since i think a key component in the clutch kick is the clamping force so i think this should be upgraded...i opted for this though sicne i already have it :) )

Image

let me know if this set up would yeild good results for me...this is probably the cheapest option so far with the primary focus on the clutch disc quality and driveability

I'm putting in one of those as we speak...i mean type. I can't wait to check it out. My dad and my brother had the same clutch in their '70 Nova and '56 Bel Air
it grabs nicely but doesnt lug the motor especially considering i was running a light weight flywheel in a 3300lb car i didnt have to ride the clutch to move out smoothly
