So I know that a lot of you knew that I was going to be putting in HID projectors in the Versa when I had it, and I know that a lot of you were also quite interested in the project.
Well I never gave up on doing it once my dad took the V which is now sitting in his backyard covered up as if it were nothing. Anywho I figured I would show you all the progress of my project of now doing it to my old car which is a 94 Suzuki Sidekick which I am going to be converting the front end to a 2004 Scion Xb.
The project is a tedious task, but luckily I was able to not have to fabricate a lot of things due to the ease of the way the stock aftermarket Xb headlights were. This also allowed for me to spend less money buying parts for customization, and has been amazingly easier than the Versa EVER would have been, but I really wish these could have gone onto the V.
Please note that I did modify the projectors, and achieved a brighter output, a sharper cutoff, a more colorful cutoff, and a faint rainbow effect just above it all. The pictures do not do themselves justice, as if you were to see them in person, the blue that you see above the cutoff has some very deep purple that in person looks very amazing.
So with that, I will leave you all with some pics to enjoy.
HID kits are for people who want bright colored lights and no usable output on the road, but with a kit you only get one color, but with a projector you get a bright WHITE output on the road, and when bouncing in a persons mirror or to oncoming drivers, they see different colors of the spectrum!
Output and cutoff pics, projector was in headlamp sitting a couple feet off of the floor and about 25 feet from the wall, I did this low as to not wake the neighbors, but it will not change much once sitting higher and mounted on the car.
Also I know that there was a member of the forum that imported the stock HIDs off of the Tiida, and when I asked him to snap some pics of output, this is what I meant, as I would like to compare the output, because I am sure it is not as bright, as sharp, and as cool as mine!
The 94 Sidekick.
A really quick PS, didn't even have time to blend everything and color it all the same color, but eventually it will look something similar to this.
I know that this is not the Versa, but a lot of you guys are very nice people, and a lot of others were interested in my project. So please let me know what you think, and as I get further into the project, I am sure I will have questions to opinions as to what I should do, and even though it is not a Versa, I hope that I am still welcome and that I am still able to get opinions from a great community of people!
Cheers guys & gals!
