Lets review some of the highlights of Bill Clinton’s Presidential Terms:1. No US response to the Rwandan genocide.2. No US response to the Bosnian genocide or civil war.3. No US response to the enslavement and displacement of the minority south of Sudan by the Muslim north.4. World Trade Center bombing.5. Murrah Federal Building bombing in Oklahoma City6. US Embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya7. USS Cole bombing8. Bombing of the Kobar Towers in Dhahran 9. Bombing of the Chinese Embassy in BelgradeIt doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out these guys were asleep at the switch! Or maybe too preoccupied with Interns. The Clinton Administration taught Al Qaeda and America’s enemies that if you inflicted enough casualties, that the United States would tuck tail and run (Mogadishu, Somalia).
Right now our greatest enemy in the United States is the Republican Party and the Democratic Party. They have failed us both domestically and internationally.
If you want to blame the shortcomings and inadequacy on the president, instead of US intelligence, then go for it. And if terrorlst attacks and other acts of hate against our country really portray the result what a president does on the job, then damn, a large amount of presidents must have been sleeping and getting their d!ck sucked in the oval office too.
I agree with Clinton's decisions to butt the f*** out of genocides in Africa. It's a blood bath and any rational person would leave them be. We've helped enough in terms of foreign aid, etc etc. We don't need to send out soldiers to die in vain. We may be the most powerful country in the world, but that does not mean we have the responsibility to go in and make things right in every single country. Roosevelt didn't do s*** to save the Jews until Japan attacked us. By your argument, every president was a bad one because terrorlst attacks, war, and threats on this country have occured in almost every presidency.
If you want highlights of the good that Clinton has done for us, let's start with how his administration is responsible for the biggest and longest economic boom in history. The economy expanded by 50% in real terms. He left the economy intact when he left office with a huge growing surplus that beloved Bush managed to ruin months into office. He pushed for foreign trade agreements and when he left office there were plans for new trade rounds. Unemployment rates dropped to a staggering low percentage (I believe it was somewhere between 3-5%) while job opportunities increased. The stock market boomed. The list of his accomplishments go on....
Clinton was a great orator. He spoke intelligently and eloquently with words that actually exist in the English language. Clinton was liked internationally and he represented our country well. He made decisions based on facts and intelligence given to him. He doesnt go barging into other countries creating war without a just cause because he "knows what he believes" and thinks that there will actually be "democratic peace" in Iraq. If you want to look at the events that happened during his presidency, then sure, more could have been done in prevention. But in comparison to the accomplishments of other presidents and our dear beloved Bush today, he was a damn great president.
