circuit sports V2 short shifter

i had one put in to my friends car with the oem bushing no rattling at all shift smooth

i have the circuit sports V2, i drive my car pretty hard a lot. it didnt rattle for about a month. then would always rattle after 3500rpm. i just took it all apart and wrapped all the contact points to the transmission along with removed the weight and wrapped under it as well. i have pics of the whole process on my HD if anyone would like a "how to" guide to fix your rattle.

here is a write up of what i did, i am not allowed to post pics yet sorry so heres a link that will hopefully work.

1. remove shifter from transmission.

2. remove C-clip, and pull weight off.

3. wrap shifter from O-ring to O-ring with ONE very tight layer maybe 2 if you have the room, but don't tape over O-rings or else the weight more than likely wont fit over it.

4. I wrapped the rod going through the shaft that fits into the transmission first with thread tape (very tightly) than one more layer with electric tape. (you just want to make sure you dont wrap it too much or else A. the plastic peice may not fit around it.. not to crucial. B. It will bind your shifter inside the transmission, not allowing it to shift smooth.

After all that. reassemble and test.

This is still a fresh install for me but for the past week it has worked great, im not sure as to how long it will last but its not hard to fix.
i would also suggest using a high temp tape if you have it.

i have the same shifter and it also rattles over 3500rpms but ive just been too lazy to take it back off. id def recommend it for a cheap short throw! i got it from the same company for half the price
