They are a bit tricky to remove.. there is clips that are behind the bumper.. u push the clips and u pull them.. you have to be carefull not to snap them off..

I think it looks good.. BUT... the color of your car makes a difference, "I think". On a Blk or dark colored car, I owould have to really think hard on this one.

Now that you have them installed; would you repeat this, if you knew the process ahead of time?

Sporting m35, thanx For ur comment.. No, I wouldn't go thru with it if I knew it would take that long and on top of that I ruined part of my car to add these rings! Also, it cost me $100. Thats parts and labor!

But it looks good I guess

What exactly do you mean that they sanded it down. Which part exactly?

Ninos,I think they look REALLY good. IMO the best modifications are ones that look as if they were done at the factory and that is exactly how those look. I think these would look good with any color M.

With that said, I'm guessing the sanding was done to the exisiting black plastic rings of the original fog lights? I assume that is why you had to remove the black housing under the bumpers? If that's the case, it really DOES seem like a lot of work. Too bad that you couldn't modify the chrome rings through sanding or other "cutting" to get them to fit on the larger black surrounds of the current fog lights.

I wonder if that would be another option.

At any rate, VERY nice work. I like them and I think they add a lot.

Mpgmusic, U know what i went thru Your car would look nice with them chrome for sure!!... it was too much.. but it looks good at the same time.

(yosM45)

They had to sand the existing plastic rings .. I didnt want to sand the chrome rings because they can break.. i didnt want to take a chance so i went with the existing fog ring plastic...

ninos_9, first your car looks hot! I was wondering about the black plastic grill where the fog lights are located. I have to replace my passenger side fog light housing and not just the bulb as the glass on the lamp itself was cracked and broken and you cannot just purchase the glass that goes around the lamp, my question is, how diffcult was it to get the black mesh/lower grille from around the fog lamps? Also I was told you can you lamp cheaper from Nissan because the same lamp on the sentra will fit the M35, not sure how true that is> Have you heard or read that?

Car looks good with the rings IMO. I'm wondering too about what it takes to remove that lower grill area in black. Any input you have would be appreciated thanks.

rocastro71 wrote:The rings are original parts for the 08-09 M35/45 luxury models. I got them from infinitipartsusa.com for around $16/each. They came with tabs on the back which I removed because the sports model did not come with holes to push them in and I did not want to risk drilling holes in wrong spots. I attached them using high strength plastic glue I purchased from Lowe's.
Have a part # I just called and they told me the whole fog light have to be purchased.

I know this is an old thread, but I thought I would add that I can confirm that this was an easy swap on my 07 M35 (non sport.) In case anyone stumbles upon this thread in the future, here are the parts that I purchased:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002PQ ... 00_s00_i00

$100 self installed beats the hell out of the $450 the dealer wanter per light, BEFORE installation!
