i wanted to post this in the noodles thread, but i didn't want to interrupt the rhyme wars going on over there, so...

here i am at work chowing down on a large helping of general tso's chicken and white rice, when i discover...

there's a serial number stamped on the piece of chicken i'm about to put in my mouth.

WTF!!!!!:(

i thought maybe it came off of the container...nope.maybe it's a piece of wrapper that didn't get removed...nope.an optical illusion...nope.a figment of my imagination...nope.

here it is right in front of me. i wish i had a camera. i have been devouring chicken # L3443. this is almost as disturbing and confusing as the time i found a bone in a mcdonald's chicken mcnugget.

has anything like this ever happened to any of you? what's the weirdest thing you've ever found in your food?

a couple weeks ago i went to wendys and went through the drive through. got my food and drink and continued on my way home. as i arrived at my house i pick up the cup and food and start to hear a fizzing/steaming noise and i start listening closley to hear whether its the engine?.. nopesomething in the garage?.. nopemy drink?.. yep i look down and see that root beer is flowing through the bottom of the cup and into a puddle of root beer in my lap! im like WTF!!?! and then put the drink down in the garage to examined what happened so i took a look beneath the cup and see a hole was poked in the bottom. as i was cleaning up the mess in my car i noticed a little pellit type thing in the change holder where i put my drink. those basturds must have plugged the hole with some sort of pellit and when i grabbed my drink to remove it from the car the pellit popped off allowing root beer to flow into my lap! those tricksters! :(

Once i opened a beer, started drinking... then.. wait a minute, what's this?

I looked inside, and found a rusted beer bottle cap stuck to the inside of the bottle. Blech!

My mom got a jar of organic pickles from some health food store, and I open it up, am about to pop one in my mouth, and behold! I see a grub wiggiling around in there. That's right, a LIVE GRUB is in my jar of pickles. It was pretty gross.

did anyone hear about the people who got the sausage biscuits from McD's and froze them, only to find out that when they reheated them a few months later they were full of maggots...

at my old work, a person found a screw in their quesadillas once. the cooks had picked it up after cutting the thing. th edge of the knife caught it and pulled it out of the cutting board and they layed it on the plate under the quesadilla. pretty messed up.

ahaha, we had one where i live. good food, no razor blades though.

we had one lady send back her cheese enchladas cause she said she found a hair. well the hair was like 2 1/2 ft long, dark brown, and wavy. none of the cooks or kitchenstaff of wait staff had hair like that. guess what kinda hair the lady had? needless to say, we got her a new plate. damn lowballing jerks.

i can remember biting into a whopper, and as i pulled it away from my mouth, i felt something drag across my lip. i look down to discover there's about a foot and a half long strand of hair coming from my mouth to the burger.

i quietly got up from the table i was sitting at and walked up to the crowded counter. the cashier asked if she could help me, and without saying a word, i proceeded to pull this long *** hair out of the whopper right in front of all of their customers.

the cashier gasped and snatched the burger away from me so as to not let anyone else see it, but it was too late. at least half a dozen disgusted people got out of line and walked out.

that was probably the last time i ever ate at a burger king.

yeah, wendy's is the only burger place i go to now. their restaurants are the cleanest and the food is always fresh.

as for the chicken strips...real chicken with no serial numbers.

i never thought about it. does jello dissolve in carbonated drinks? i dunno. anyway, i never drank the stuff but some early promotional material said it would have gelatin globes suspended in it. jello being a brand name, im not sure it was ever considered. the ad i read like ten years ago could have been inaccurate. wait, it was not an ad. it was a quickie in newsweek. theyre always full of crap. that splains that.

Coke eats through everything, so probably jello too. Don't know about the other carbonated drinks.

A kid I work with was telling me today that he found a razor blade in a sandwich he got from Sonic... I wonder what that's like. Especially if you hadn't found it somehow... UGH.

yup, it's rather acidic, given time, it'll start seeping through styrofoam, not that I've let it sit in my room due to sheer laziness.

I wonder if it can strip paint over time?

Oh hell yeah. Jello desolves in water, could you imagine putting that in a cup of coca cola? Coke eats through metal.

Where the hell do all of these razor blades come from in fast food places? What the heck are they doing back there.

On second thought, I don't want to know.

Speaking of odd things found in food products. I was at my friends bachelor party- and we were smoking cigars. One of the guys noticed his cigar was burning unevenly. So he tried to knock the end of the cigar off on a bench. We then discovered a 3 inch nail had been rolled into his cigar. Needless to say, we stopped smoking those cigars at that point. Odd.

i found a blonde hair in a sandwich at a nice cafe on campus. i showed them the hair, and they apologized a lot, made me a new one, and offered me a free dessert. unfortunately, i only had enough appetite left to finish the sandwich. (one of those panini type things)

i didn't get all bent out of shape about it though.
