And one last note to Reggie at the top, your full of crap. There isn't any company making a "living" putting enemic 140hp 280ZX engines in 300ZX. What are you driving a wanna be 240SX? The Z31 is well represented out in the world, take a look at z31.com sometime and learn something. These cars can go for EVER, the car fires were all Nissan models including Maximas and the trucks too, are they pieces of **** also.
Dude, those are YOUR opinions, I'll put my cherry, reliable 1984 300ZX against ANY Z ever created any day for quality, relaiblity, ride and comfort!

Jeff - But the B-210 still RAN. That's all I was trying to say. The one my buddy had (1976) went EVERYWHERE - off-road, got airborne, we turned it on it's side one night (drunk), used to go out in the rain and hydroplane it on purpose, basically abused the piss out of it. And it held together. Ugly, crappy interior, ugly outside too, but basically bulletproof.
If anyone ever GIVES you a 1970 240Z, let me know - I'll take it off your hands. I drove a right-hand drive 240 for a year in college and LOVED it. Some mods to make it faster, but a great fun car.
The 1979 280Z my ex-gf owned was a POS. 2 fires (one engine, one under the dash) and slow as hell. But you already mentioned that.
Post some pix of the '84 - it sounds nice.
