I hate to break it to you, but you'll be far from 500. Not even pump and meth. Not to crush your hopes and dreams, just speaking the troof. 500BHP will be damn hard to hit with that buiid, and definitely not 500RWHP.

Also, 20+PSI on pump and meth is doable, provided you have proper spark plug gap (0.028") and Iridium 8 range plugs.

The exhaust, IC plumbing, single intake and generic tune are your biggest barriers.

i don't think you should approach it as "what the stock motor can handle", it's "what boost can you run without getting knock".
i.e., the fuel quality, and supporting modifications like ic's, ic piping's, exhaust's, etc.
with an off-the-shelf tune, i'm probably going to detune it until i can get a real tune.

Thanks for the info (even thought it isn'y my thread :)) Is there a link that you know of a successfull 500RWHP build on stock block? Exhaust, ic plumbing, dual intake and tune is no issue for me, I am more worried about injectors, rails, pumps, manifolds, meth for cool or for power and other little bits that help the 500rwhp build last.

the tune is arguably the most important aspect.
for fuel injectors and rails, at the minimum i think you should get nismo740cc's fuel injectors and 300d fuel rails.
pumps?
manifolds = mike smith performance manifolds.
3'' exhaust, 2.5'' ic and ic pipings, selin dual intake should get you a long way towards your goals.

OEM TT fuel pump, in good working order, with clean filter socks, will support 600RWHP without issue.

300 degree rails or BDE rails are the only real options. Otherwise it's 95+ new style rails and a modified lower plenum or Z1 adapter kit.

As Trinh said, 2.5" IC side, 3" exhaust side, Selin and MSPs, you can hit 500RWHP with meth on pump 93 with Sport 500s easily (with a great tune).

400rwhp+ is nothing to laugh at.
upgrade your ic pipings and ic's, and your exhausts and you'll be fine.

400 RWHP will get you a low 4/high 3 sec 0-60 car. It's a lot of fun for a street car. To get you an idea of what you'll be looking at, here's my bone stock 100K mile motor with the following basic mods:

3" SZ DP
3"->2.5" SZ TP
MSP Manis
Selin Dual MAF
SMC Methanol Injection
SP500 Turbos
Nismo 740CC/MIN Injectors
NGK Iridiums gapped to 0.035 (bad, should be 0.028 because they were blowing out above 19PSI)

Image

With meth, max of 435 RWHP and 456 RWTQ, on pump only, 400RWHP and 395RWTQ. The car screws, and on race gas (C16) (and properly gapped plugs) I could have probably broken 500RWHP.

I also have a dual intake, much bigger exhaust, and meth injection.

Your built motor is a great start for future upgrades. IMHO, do the MSP manifolds now while the engine is out, as they're difficult (read: impossible) to install with it in. The downpipes, dual MAF intake etc can all be done with the engine in.

Nice work so far, hang in there with your power goals as I agree with Big T that you are on the right path, just do what he suggests and take care of the rest a little later.
Sounds great especially if you got the idle down! :bigthumb:
