Yea, compared to the Charge speed headlight covers, the clear coat looks like a$$.gabossie wrote:Wow, the clearcoat looks really thin and almost matted. If I was to pay that much for something like that, I would expect better for sure. Maybe a good buffing would bring up the shine a bit?
Probably because only 1 hinge is installed. THe screw got stripped on my stock trunk so I cant take the other one off. We'll see when the glass is on, I'll take more pics.SHIEF wrote:Doesn't seem like it fits all that great either. Looks like in the pics that it doesn't go all the way out towards your tailights, and a decent sized gap on the passenger side. Maybe it's the pics, but that's what it looks like. Oh well, your car is very nice no matter
it is bad if you dish out over 600 bucks for the trunk with a quality like that.MainEvent212 wrote:oh so right now it's not actually properly installed. well besides the quality of the clearcoat, it dosent seem SO bad
Probably not. Lexan is about 500, if I get that then it'll be around 1000. BUt I already ordered a hood(not charge speed) and it should be on its way so no money for lexan.rudee023 wrote:Are you installing the lexan replacemement glass as well? How much for everything total? Around $1000?
Yes its odd. But I'm going to have the body shop put a clear coat on it when its time to paint the car again.VmaN! wrote:lol it kinda looks like there is a film on it, you know like that piece of plastic you peel off that they put on LCD displays to protect the surface. Fitment looks good, but that is pretty odd that it isnt as glossy as your headlight covers.
